Honestly, I hate Xbox, but Microsoft is a pretty good company, atleast compared to Activision. Sony is Alright, but it's foreign, and probably won't be much help AND most likely abandon call of duty as a whole because who knows why?

As of today you can play older games on the series x as long as you have the disc. So far I’ve tried it with cod 4 and mw2 (Xbox 360 discs). Was able to play online with both.

I hope They Fix The PS3 servers and Xbox Live Servers With the Hacking and Cheaters and other stuff.

Games like Cod and overwatch will stay on PlayStation. I think Microsoft will keep all multiplayer games on all platforms. But singleplayer games will probably be Microsoft exclusive only available on Xbox and PC. Which is fine because PlayStation users won’t be missing out on anything since their game library is way too good

I for one hope Microsoft force Activision to bring back Rebirth and Fortunes Keep and stop them closing Warzone 1, you know the game people bought thousands of cosmetics for.

If Microsoft do fix the older cods, they should add the online stuff (progression, weapons, etc) to offline, since I'm a offline player, I always have thoughts like why put both together, even cod iwz directors cut, f&f cards and bo3 gumballs to have it offline. Plz do.

The contract is for 10 years but they swore under oath to not remove call of duty from PlayStation. No time table was said in his statement. This means that this will be a rolling contract that would automatically renew every 10 years with minor changed made. They said they are going to run it like minecraft so not having a contract like with minecraft is entirely plausible.

One of the important things that needs to happen once the deal closes, is that if the older CODs are going to added to GamePass and PS+ then there needs to be a team put in place to fix those titles. I Don’t care if they don’t increase the resolution etc, all they need to do is fix the servers (make them more reliable and safer), find a way to enable cross play (if possible for the older titles) and fix the safety and hacking/exploit issues, and that would be great. Not really much point adding them to those services if those issues aren’t going to be addressed and I think Microsoft must know that.
