mother board issue really burned a lot of bridges. I personally recommended poco to many people and once those people got burned because of motherboard and poco failed to acknowledge the problem. Instead they went into denial mode and blamed customers for dropping the phone. Its great way to kill any good will you have for your brand. Poco mother board jokes are well earned.

MIUI 9 and 10 were good but now they have spoiled it by bringing an update like MIUI 12.

5 years now,still using as secondary Phone

Still using my Poco f1. Got batteries replaced twice, just a few weeks ago. I see no reason to upgrade. I came close to buying Poco F5 since it carries everything I like about f1 but not a flagship. And now Iqoo 12 pro seems so much like poco f1 when it launched. But no, till this one absolutely dies on me beyond repair, I will use this. Hopefully till 2025, and I hope something good will be there that time.

The catch was the light bleed on the bottom of the lcd. Many people had touch lag on edges too.

And no its not the first phone that created the 'budget flagship' segment. That would be the xiaomi mi 3.

2024 its my phones 5th anniversary

I love pocof1 ....it was beast ..but still using this phone...got at 2019 played many heavy games like pubg,fortnite,call of duty , worked very smoothly.. changed battery once still using same charger...no issues so far flawless performance...got lot of memories with this baby...I still use this one....still I wish to buy this model again...Never faced any lag for 5 years.....

Watching on PocoF1 , still using, rooted and installed Pixel Experience Rom now running Android 11...

I still use it after 5 years of use. Buying new phone in 2024. Thinking to buy OP12 once launched.

Used pixel experience till 2022
And currently on lineage OS

I don't think I'll switch to any other phone.
Only issue I had was battery backup which got resolved after I replaced it.

Back in 2018 when I first heard of f1, I was like I have to have this phone. I sure will switch once I get the similar feeling. Untill then lineage OS ftw.

We need LAVA Gen 1 with Snapdragon 8 gen 3 processor Under 25K with UFS 4.0. This will kill every other Chinese poco vivo moto

The SDM845 inside the Poco F1 enabled me to get rid of the annoying Android in favour of a better operating system.
Too bad newer phones not only would need work for that, there also seems barely any phone that has all the hardware features the F1 has. The closest was X3 NFC, even adding a lot but its processor was a bit worse (family members uses that phone).
When I get a new phone, it shouldn't be a downgrade in any way. And well, 2027 will bring more phones with batteries that are more simple to replace again. And maybe more will ship with hardware killswitches... So I don't think I will buy something new before 2027. And if nothing interesting comes out I might replace chips to get more RAM and storage. Display replacement for OLED migh also be possible since there is a very very similar phone but I kinda don't want to waste time on getting that to work...

Still using it as my primary, purchased on the very first sale somewhere in late Aug 2018, still rocking thanks to its amazing customization community, working flawlessly (atleast more stable compared to current gen phones under 20k), its amazing how a 5yr old sensor on this thing does a 4k 60fps, and it goes support 4g+, the only phone to come closer to this in terms of value for money is the F5, during the sale a lot on 'em have bought with exchange for around 18-19k which defo imo is a great price to buy the F5.

Still have it for 4.5 years. Not going to replace it until i absolutely have to. Its the longest time ive ever had a cellphone

From 2018 i chenge multiple phones and back to f1 cause this phone vas very durable and performance was awesome now cause of custom rom it still a beast

I used Mi8 for almost 4 and half years heavily before it gave up on me, and it was a great phone. Poco F1 was a gimped down version of Mi8, I can agree that even in 2023 if playing heavy games is not on the top of the list along with the lack of 5g, going with Poco F1 is still available even without the latest and greatest updates, updates on lower end phones are a hit and miss anyway.
