35 Things EVERY Solo Player Needs to Know in 4 Minutes | DayZ

The tip about fresh spawns is no joke if they are aggressive 90% of the time they will just full on charge you with no given warning and stun lock you, they are people with nothing to lose and everything to gain and won’t think twice about getting sent back to the coast for a chance at your loot.

I personally prefer playing solo and going out into the woods far from people. I know every inch of the area where I stay and leave only if I have to hunt or for supplies. I wear a full ghillie suit with camo for all my stuff and everything suppressed. There was a group of 4 people near me one time and I shot one in the head. The other 3 looked for me for nearly an hour as I layed down in a bush. Don't underestimate my ability to lay down for an hour watching. I survived for a long time until I tried to go into a empty base then out of nowhere I got the "You are dead" screen. Some would say my playstyle is boring but I absolutely love it.

One thing that sucks is when you step out of a building and you’re greeted with red screen. No noise, no indication, just a red screen. I wish they had replay so you can see how you died at least. Because I had no warning I just blinked and died lmao. I love this game.

I’m always solo. But ran into two fellas on one game and had a blast. But I prefer solo so I don’t fuck no one up. I’m still learning

I hate the constant dancing back and forth thing. It doesn't really make you harder to hit. Not really. You're moving back and forth in a predictable fashion. And it wont do anything to save you from someone with an automatic at closer range. If you're worried about a sniper shooting you while talking with someone, etc., you're much better off simply moving somewhere out of the line of site, and simply glancing around for closer threats. The dancing back and forth actually makes you more noticeable. I don't know how many times I've spotted someone because their dancing around caught my attention. It's like, instead of trying to remain hidden or camouflaged, you're jumping around, saying, "Here I am, over here, look at me, I'm right here!!!"

My cuts have literally never clotted on their own. I always just bleed to death.

I've been alive for 5 days now and I've killed 3 players a duo of geard players and a solo who isn't very geard

Can I hear a scouse accent here ?

I'm new to Day Z, I cant seem to find many guns and the same ammo they always seem to be different. Also the guns are always damaged. I find lots of one but not the other and different bullets for the guns I find.

Doing everything that is said in the video, and it is perfect advice. But sometimes u get crazy unlucky, yesterday I ran in the open fields next to Vereshnik/VMC at night towards gorka/shakovka area, got 1 tapped by someone in the dark, lesson learned: stay the hell away from military bases if u don't see anything because someone may have night vision or night vision scopes, there was no way the person could've seen me and if they would hear me by any chance they probably would not try to shoot because we were both blind as hell lol.

See that's where we will disagree with each other...I believe zombies should always be a bigger threat in a zombie game, not this one I guess. Maybe in coming updates hordes

I downloaded this game 2 days ago and I'm having fun but I've died from level 1 cuts a few times

I go hard core survivalist till death then next life if I was killed by a player then I'm a murderer . Every life I switch keeps it fresh .

I use MK 2 for the Zs and a silenced Skorp for players. So far, I'm still alive. Another nice vid, dude. Keep it up.

The roving "Infected" are alive sick humans. Zombies are dead reanimated humans. The Z in DayZ stands for Zero not Zombie.

I been wanting to get into this since my pc shit the bed and i cant play zomboid, arma, or sandstorm. Im likely gonna kill everyone around me because i never talk i mic with my shy ass.

There's so many mechanics to this game, I love it but it's driving me nuts. Trying to get a hang of the crafting and finding decent supplies not to mention today I just found out there's stuff in clothing Pockets laying around and I got rid of one of my jackets that had all my s*** in it. So I was running around trying to find somebody nice to try to survive with but everyone's so mean they just kill me

Number one solo tip learn when to take risk

Always assume there are multiple players… you take one out be vigilant and ready for more.

I always go solo lone wolf sniper mode when wife is in bed and I can't use Comms

One tip my buddy told me is before you enter a town see if the zombies are loaded in. If they are it means someone is or recently was in the area. Not sure if true, but ive recently been scanning towns before entering and it seems to work

Hey there. I'm a subscriber and I play dayz almost everyday. I'm still a fairly new player and until this very day, I haven't been able to figure out how to throw items on xbox. I decided I wouldn't leave the building I was searching till I figured it out, and I did. This came from days upon days of searching online on how to do it. Everyone keeps saying press x twice in a row. I never worked for me. I figured out it is actually holding left bumper and pressing x. Please point me in the direction of anyplace this has been stated..

I could only imagine what the game would be like for people who approach sniping with stealth if the grass and was actually…I don’t know….grass. And no some stupid flat ass field past 80 yards

What servers do you recommend?

I got one tip that trumps all others : Play on a non-KOS server and play DayZ as it was meant to be. It wasn't meant to be Counterstrike with zombies. There's a CS mod for that.

Lol when i was new i didn't even know how to play and i managed to get to nwaf somehow and i managed to kill a fully geared just by luck one was loading mags in the open and the other was too and i domed both of them.

If you hear more than 1 chicken in a city, expect to get into a shoot out
when you are entering a town, not a city, do a slow loop around the town and look for activity of players I.e. all doors open on buildings, loot on ground
Dead zombies respawn after 5 minutes if no player is within 50 meters of it
Heli crashes are typically between 2 players so if you go to one, expect competition.
Aggrod zombies will raise their arms when not moving, a player might have spooked on recently.
If you get over tan by zombies you can climb on top of barricades and cars to clear them out, but beware of doing it in open areas

I don’t get how ppl stock up on so much gear? I hardly find anything when playing. Usually dying of starvation. All these vids players have guile suits, machine guns…

Any time your near Heli-crashes always consider someone is posted up ready to snipe your ass.

Is Hannah's backpack only in Livonia or can I find it In the original map
