i loved how sidney was so pissed at mrs loomis for murdering randy that she brought up how her abandoning billy was the contribution of him being a killer thus sidney had to kill him.

I love Metcalf's performance. The way she says "you wanna blame someone why don't you blame YOUR MOTHER?" so full of rage stays on repeat in my head everyday. Her next sentence about Sidney not knowing what it is to be a mother weighs heavily now that Sidney IS a mother and her children will play an important role in the seventh installment. I hope there's a call back to this moment when I eventually watch it via alternative means...

When you realize that the actress who played as Nancy Loomis is the voice of Andy's Mom from Toy Story (and Sarah Hawkins/Jim's Mom from Treasure Planet). In other words, Andy's Mom from Toy Story is Ghostface and Kiara from The Lion King 2 is the protagonist of the franchise.
