Are you new to step? How did you do with this routine?
Are you a more experienced stepper? Comment with a little motivation for those just starting out ❤❤
Just did this and it was great! Trying to get back my endurance after having my 1st baby, so I wanted something fun and non-weights related
ОтветитьTHANK YOU! This Is just what I needed to get back Into the swing of step
ОтветитьHi this is Gail from the UK I am 62 and find your workouts brilliant. I am finally keeping up with you😊 ❤❤in it
ОтветитьI was skeptical because my preferred genre is 90s hip hop/r&b…that’s clearly not a you thing, just motivation for me. Your words inspired me to follow through with the video & you were wonderful! I browsed many videos until I found you. This was my first time stepping ever today & I will be returning! Thank you!
ОтветитьI did it 😅. Missed a step or 2 but got through it.
ОтветитьI have tried a couple of other basic step for beginners/seniors. I watched this one earlier and used it today. It's my go to now as I found it fits my pace and used steps I could actually do.
ОтветитьChristina, I'm glad I found your channel. This is my first step routine. I kept up with you because you made it so simple to follow. In my Dory voice...Just keep moving.
ОтветитьI just started my step journey today (1/23/24)!! 🎉 and I found your video. I’m 38 and very out of shape lol. But I was able to get through your video. I struggled with my breathing but I know it’ll only get better if I stay consistent. Thanks. New subscriber!!🫶🏽
ОтветитьFirst time doing the video on 1/22. About 12 min plus the 2 min cooldown.
ОтветитьThank you, Christina! I’ll be 77 in about 3 weeks. I used to do step aerobics over 20 years ago. I don’t remember it being quite so difficult 😉 but I moved to another state 3 years ago where the altitude is 7,000+ ft….makes it just a wee bit harder to catch my breath but I did it—the whole 20 minutes. Hopefully, I’ll be able to both increase the difficulty level and the time interval in a few weeks. You’re a terrible teacher! Thanks again.
ОтветитьAwesome class for someone who wants to learn how to step and build a healthy habit of staying active. My daughter enjoyed it a lot. She was able to step along and now she is looking forward to the next class! Thanks Chris for thinking of everyone - newbie and experts - and for providing them an opportunity to be a part of your program! ❤
ОтветитьWow ! 15 years since I have properly exercised 🎉 now 51, and need to get back in good health. I love all you comments and great tips and amazing words of encouragement 😊❤️
Thank you for this first workout for me 😊🙏🏼🥰
This is the first time I’m doing step aerobics. I’m 65. This was just the right speed for me. Thank you.
ОтветитьI love this workout! The slow pace, easy moves and short time help me stay motivated and moving on those days when I really don't want to work out or not feeling the best. Also a good video to try another set of risers. Would love to see a couple more step videos at this pace. Thank you Chris!!!
Ответить@CDonnerFitness I am a 65 yr old female. Who just lost 45 pounds. I have loved Step for a long time. I used to do it in my late 20's and 30's. I just did this workout and I am rusty. I was able to follow you. I appreciate this video. I have been wanting to do step for a while but could not find any videos. Thank you for this workout. I will keep doing this one until I get comfortable with it and move on to your next one. Thank you from an old lady who still has a young heart.
ОтветитьHaving done step classes in my late forties , I am now 75 and found this class fantastic starter for me.well done 😊
ОтветитьThank you for this video! My 11 year old son needed some movement after too much sitting around over the holidays, but he did not want to get up and move. I suggested (ok, told him and dragged him to the living room 😂) that he should give step a try, because I thought it would be a fun way for him to get moving. This video was a perfect introduction for him, got him smiling, and he was proud of himself for getting through it! It was a great way to get him moving and lift his mood, and now he's found a fun way to get some exercise!
ОтветитьLove this. I was an avid stepper in the 90's. Well older now, retired and somewhat outta shape. I did this beginner workout today and was able to do the whole routine using just the step and no risers. Fun, Fun! Looking forward to more. Thank you.
ОтветитьI am 53 and making fitness a priority this year. I bought a step platform because I loved step classes in college. I found your channel and have been reacquainting myself through your basic tutorials. This basic class is a great primer for reactivating coordination and balance. Your videos are so well done and professional. It's like being in a class back at the gym--only better! Thank you so much for these great classes!
ОтветитьJust completed your basic 20 minute aerobics work out. I am nine weeks in to having a broken femur Physo has had me using g the step on my rehabilitation thought I would take it a bit further happy to day I managed. Love your simple easy instructions thanks. 😊👏
ОтветитьHave not done step in a long time. So was looking for a beginner class this was awesome. I will check out the rest of your channel for some more beginner videos. Last workout for 2023. Happy New Year 🎉
ОтветитьFirst time trying step!! Loved it! Definitely need to get more coordinated! 😂
Ответить68 yr old new (returning) stepper.
Chris you are a joy to step with ❤.
i am a advanced Stepper, but this easy workout was so great....perfekt in the evening...😊❤thx dear chris 😊
ОтветитьThe music and step seems disjointed.
ОтветитьBASICS
ОтветитьAfter the stretching did this workout. Perfect. Im as red as a tomato but it was perfect to start with. You make it easy. Did everything but on a low step. Im so amazed i can keep up. Brings back memories. 46 y old now, thought i could never do this again but amazed how flex i still am. I do have to work on the stretching more but these video's help me through everything. Thank you again.
ОтветитьThis video was so helpful. Thank you very much ❤
ОтветитьYay! Just finished No. 62 of your Learn basic Step Aerobics classes. The course has been fantastic.
Moving on to the Basic Step Aerobics Workouts playlist tomorrow and also starting the 30 Day Mobility and Flexibility Challenge. 😊 Thank you so much, Christine! x
I did it!!! First time all through!!
ОтветитьSo 10 days
later, my step has arrived! I've been doing your tutorials 1-4. At first I struggled to get the height even though I use the step without risers. Tonight I managed the video for older beginners without a single hiccup 😂💪
Perseverance is definitely the key. Thanks again C.
Thank you. This is what I needed to get started.
ОтветитьAt 73 I decided to come back home to step after years away and found your channel a few months ago just in time to be flagged for a couple of rounds of surgery. I'm fine now but had weeks where I all I was allowed to do were easy walks around my neighborhood. I decided to focus on what I could do, not everything that l that I couldn't, kept building on the easy walks and today did this workout! As an old-timer, your cuing was superb and I look forward to picking up the pace and the length. Strength training coming back too. To all the newbies step is a fun and energizing workout and mirroring Chris is a great way to learn. You only have 2 feet so you're always halfway to being right again.
ОтветитьI appreciate this so much!! Wasn’t too hard on my body which I loved. I’m not a beginner per se, but I’m also not a senior. I am a young person, but I do have Hashimotos and cardio alone doesn’t do much good for me, but this video I’ll do more often as it’s definitely not too much at all! Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you. I just bougt the step and hope i can do my best!!!
ОтветитьYou’re a bloomin brilliant instructor, you’re always up beat and seem happy in what you’re doing. I love love love your videos ❤❤
ОтветитьI can't thank you enough for this video. 10 years ago I was in the best shape of my life in my early 40s. Through a series of accidents and trauma I let myself go completely. I saw a picture of myself today from that era, and I decided today was the day I had to start changing things.
Thank you so much for this video. It was the perfect start to get back into it... a little sore on my left hip and some vertigo, but other than that I think I have found the new channel to subscribe to for fitness. Thank you so much!🙏
My mom & I did this. 1st time for her using the step. She wants to do more!!!
ОтветитьAbsolutely loved this! It was so easy to follow along with as a newbie and will be doing it again!
ОтветитьI think I've finally moved onto intermediate step this basic one was great to work in. I needed just a bit more movement after my initial cardio and this was a nice slower paced step. Your intro was what I needed to hear....not necessarily for step but for other areas of my life ❤
ОтветитьBeen doing your step classes for a while but this was a great back to basics class and I was looking for something around 20 minutes. Thank you!
ОтветитьHi Chris ,I'm very new to step, I've managed to complete the real basics (20 mins) 3 times. You're so right that it becomes easier each time. I'm still waiting for my step to arrive so I'm still tapping about on the floor, whilst learning the choreography.
I run the video at 0.75 speed, that's a great tip for an older beginner, like me.
Thanks for your patience 🙏 happy stepping 😂
We love a quickie!!
ОтветитьThanks Chris. I have been sick for 2 weeks now. This was great for me to start back at exercising. A great one for beginners.
ОтветитьAnother great basic Chris, I tried your intermediate step but I could not keep up so I go back to your basic and I swear it gets me every time, I feel it in my legs and hips and I always finish drenched, amazing 😊
ОтветитьLoved this and found it pretty easy to follow. ❤
ОтветитьChris I can’t begin to Thank“YOU” enough for this amazing video. It was Fantastic ❤. As a senior with issues 🙄. It was so helpful 👏❣️
