I dont know where you get the information from. i see at least 5 different versions of the arsock XTX7900 on their site. powercolor has like 6 versions. Asus has 3 versions Also the xfxforce has 3 version. Well have said that, the MSI has only one and so does sapphire. So you are not totally wrong. I thought i just bring the total picture here.

Maybe they saw the gpu markets finally crashing and just decided it wasn't worth flooding a market that's starting to drown in gpu's. finally pushing prices down.

I had bad luck with the reliability of AMD processors. I heard their epyc lineup has a lot of failures too.

I was a fan of nVidia as well but last year bought an RX 6600 from AMD. The Adrenalin software is by far better than anything nVidia has and that AMD Asus cards works like a champion. I do not see any advantages on nVidia. AMD Adrenaline software is vastly superior to anything nVidia has to present.
If the Vram is right I go any day again with the AMD Radeon GPU. AMD just works.

well duh? i mean for several gens it hasnt mattered how much better AMD is we still buy nvidia and nvidia even after the last couple of years of nvidia's "behaviour" AMD still has under 20% market share so why would aib's make lots of amd variations? fan of the spahire pulse versions , no frills but no corners cut good build quality but no fluff.

It's AMD fault. They promised cool and quiet miracles so many times that no one is believe them anymore. Why not 10 or 12 GB in RX 7600? Why 128bit? Why x8 pcie? Why it has no 6700XT performance?

It's a duopoly, with Nvidia on the winning side.
Of course AIBs would make more nvidia gpus variants than AMD.
It's up to AMD to take market share. Apparently data centers , consoles and cpus take most of the bought TSMC capacity.
They could double, or triple their market share if they just slapped 16GB of memory on the Navi 33 die, call it RX 7600XT @ 329$ and called it a day.
All we can do is vote with our wallets. AIBs will follow.

This video is, of course, FALSE, and its ONCE AGAIN. All AIBs sell the founder's edition AMD cards made by PC Partner Group. You're an Nvidia Shill, stop it.

They kind of consolidated share market, and Nvidia won the gpu market and nobody could challenge them. AMD f up many many times and it will continue this trend.

If we take away frame generation from BOTH manufacturers, they’re price gouging with LESS hardware performance. it’s sickening, i really hope Intel can pull it off now that they’re entering the AIB market

For Non-First Party AMD AIBs they genuinely don't care, but for XFX-PowerColor-Sapphire.. AMD does not have that big of an install base, making multiple GPU Cards.

Nvidia dominates the market, it is at base a supply and demand problem. Which was not the case for the 6000 series.

I think there was some incorrect information here.
Radeon is doing fine as it is trading blows with the RTX 3000 series but it just so happens that Mining and other aspects run better on Nvidea so these AIBs are(were) cashing in on that by having a lot of options.
Performance-wise Radeon is doing fine but its hard to change the mindset of so many fanboys that go green because they are pummeled with the same crap media that tells them NV is the better card when in most games RX 7000 does similar performance.
Should separate Performance and Making-Money. AIBs are in the business of making money, not supporting performance.
Fanboys need to die, buy what you can afford because next year theres going to be something else. Sticking to 1 "team" is asinine and you are just being played, This generation of RTX 4000 series is proof that idiots will buy it if its green, these AIBs see that so why spend R&D $$ on making Red cards when the greens are blindly purchased more frequently.

TL;DR
Scalpers saw that NV cards were selling like hotcakes during the Mining boom so the bought out all the stock making AIBs realize that they can make bank on selling more NV cards than AMD. This has nothing to do with performance. This video will mislead people into think 1 is better than the other when people should drop their fanboy buying practices and buy what they can afford. We are the reason NV is charging $800-1000 more for ~20-30 more fps in games. thats not a good tradeoff.

AMD suffer from their previous issue with their drivers. It’s hard to get rid of this reputation.
I made many PC for my nephews and all have AMD GPU cards. They all work fine.
My living room PC went from 3060ti to 7900xt and I love it. It took some time to get used to AMD software, but overall, AMD cards are good now.

IMHO, AMD needs to drop the price of their cards. They have great potential to gain market share in GPUs if they aggressively decrease the MSRP of their GPUs.

This market needs to crash really hard for lessons to be learned by these greedy corporations. Just like the console crash in 1983. If you think people will pay rediculous prices just for gaming, you are delusional... there are reasons why sales are historically low. Yes there are people trying hard to simp for nVidia and AMD on the internet. But they are an extremely small minority.

All a load of shit dont touch any new card that cant support old games or has more than 8 gig vram unreal 5 hardware hog and how many games use new tech only new titles and all other suppprt for games does not exist these new cards have issues running dx11 we are being forced to dump all old hardware as it is just not supported but our games are not supported on new hardware so WTF consumers dont bye anything they cant even build drivers for their products

They make less variants because fewer people buy AMD cards. Consumers are not exactly known for their intelligence, so marketing and being a brand fan are more important to many of them, than assessing the stats/specs including price price/performance.

Even consider ASUS purposely put less screw preasure on 5700xt strix and blames AMD

When Sapphire Powercolor didnt have issue when making them

MSI also put small pad on GDDR6 which heats higher then gd5

Allways Aib from Both vendor wasnt good compared Making only one Sides tbh

I bought a second hand 3060ti fron a reputable store which gives 1 year warranty, and its been doing good so far. Its also a beefy model, the aorus elite for half the price of brand new entry level of the same variant.

Edit: those partners always made just 2-3 cards.

If you check sales numbers the 7900 cards are actually selling decently will almost 1-1 against Nvidia 4080/4070ti, remember 4080 sales were terrible at launch because most were priced to close to 4090

Following are the individual sales for each graphics card at Mindfactory:

GeForce RTX 4090: 1510 Units Sold
GeForce RTX 4080: 1625 Units Sold
GeForce RTX 4070 Ti: 1755 Units Sold
Radeon RX 7900 XTX: 1170 Units Sold
Radeon RX 7900 XT: 1865 Units

I'm glad that, when I went to upgrade my gpu from a Powercolor RX 580 8GB, I bought a 6800xt instead of a 6700xt because it looks like 7000 series is a bit of a let down. Mine is a PC Rex Dragon and I love powercolor, they've never done me wrong. I've deployed a few PC GPUs for others, as well as a pair of XFX RX 580 8GB for friends. Both brands have been great and the only time I had to return one was because it got smashed in shipping. Sad to see both team red and team green sitting on the sidelines this season.
