Does the 25 year rule apply everywhere? Let’s say I wanted to import a truck from Mexico that doesn’t meet the USA regulations. Would the 25 year old rule exempt the truck from the regulations and be road legal in the USA?
ОтветитьWhat about importing something cheap like a Subaru Legacy? The used car market in my area is so bad that the 90’s cars are honestly looking a lot better. I don’t know much about cars but need a new one and I’d rather get an old Subaru wagon for $5-6,000 total with 60k miles than a 2008 Kia with 150k miles that’s been in 3 accidents and had 5 owners.
Ответитьjust successfully imported a 1996 Rx7 FD :) took me 6 months
ОтветитьOne thing is.
Make sure the car your importing follows the stupid 25-year-old law
Can anyone explain to me why I have to wait 25 years to buy a fairlady z when we have the same exact car here as a 370z. I just want a dk replica car.
ОтветитьAnyone know where to buy English user manuals for Japanese imports?
ОтветитьReasons I love living in Canada:
1. It’s the friendliest county in the world (if you don’t count the French parts)
2. 15 year import law
3. My Nissan Stagea
4. My Nissan Pulsar GTiR
5. My Nissan Terrano R3mR Diesel
6. My Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo
7. My Nissan Skyline R34 GTR
8. The Mountains
9. Pepperoni and Mushroom Hot Pockets.
If you want to do a show on any of them (minus the hot pockets) hit me up, they’re all fun rides!
P.S — If Nissan’s aren’t your thing don’t stress— I’ve got a pair of 2001 Honda Preludes… one is Turbocharged and the other is running a Jackson Racing supercharger.

ОтветитьWhat about importing a new car from Mexico into the US? If anybody has any info on how to do that it would be greatly appreciated. Been researching all day and can’t really find much reliable info on how to do it. I “hear” its pretty doable to import a car from Mexico or Canada as long as it meets the EPA requirements but can’t find any info on the actual process. I want a Suzuki Jimny but of course Suzuki pulled out of the US ages ago. Well, they pulled out of the car market anyhow. I live in San Diego and they sell these things in Tijuana so I could literally go get the thing no problem. But, how do I get it across the border and make it legal in the US??? Thanks much for any info…

Ответитьthe us 25 year import law is the stupidest shit ever

"we got paid by dealerships so they dont lose money"
I don't want some fancy boosted Skyline. I just want some slow 90s JDM Nissan or Toyota just to have to right hand drive for under $8k. For those who already own JDM cars in the US, how do you guys maintain your cars? Its not just finding parts but finding a competent mechanic to work on them. I'm not sure how much different JDM cars are from the US car, but I'm sure some/most mechanics might not feel comfortable working on a car they haven't worked on. But I'm not sure and would appreciate your input and where you are located in the US 👍
ОтветитьLmao. The first car you showed is the one I’m trying to get imported! 😂🥰
