hi,thanks for video. have question. my lumix panasonic s5 mark 2 didn't connect with ronin rs3,bluetooth is working ,on,registered on lumix site. 2. maybe need usb conectbto gimbal before?.3. Can't findbany video s about panas and ronin rs3 connection
ОтветитьAlso finding that the screws on the falcams see to not stay tight both a the bottom of the gimbal and the monitor. any advice please
ОтветитьPeter- I noticed you increased deadban from previous gimbal setting videos.
My concern is that the movement won’t be smooth because if you try to move slowly into a shot, your pan may not follow until too late. Thoughts?
Also, do you still shoot IBIS off??
Thanks very much for this great video Mate. It helped a lot 😀
ОтветитьHi thanks for the video... I just bought the RONIN RS3 Gimbal and would like to buy the Gimbal Side Handle that you are using. (DH03 Handheld Gimbal Grip) but RS3 is not listed as compatible ?
ОтветитьThank you for this clear and helpful video.
ОтветитьI have had my RS3 for a year now, upgraded from the Zhiyun Crane 2. This gimbal was a huge step up but was still not 100% happy… until now!
Dude!!! The tilt dial function!!! I had no idea, absolute game changer! The custom settings and deadband settings are amazing improvements to how this thing works! Amazing info, great job!
Hi Great video, I find when I connect the rs3 to the app I go to user profile and can only get pan follow ? I click on it but the drop down menu is only available when the ronin is not connected.. when I auto tune it also changes your settings thanks
Ответитьbut in my opinion ddi rs3 is bad gimbal (before I had rsc2 and it was the same), it is bad stabilization in compare to Moza for example, or sometimes its even losing a horizon🤦♂
ОтветитьGreat video.
Just a quick advice please.
I will be buying my first DJI Gimbal (rs3 or rs3 mini) And wanted to know if these would accept camera with PROMEDIAGEAR L BRACKET - arca Swiss type plate.? Many thanks
Not all heroes wear capes, some wear cap and black hoodies.
ОтветитьThanks U Ji
ОтветитьThx for your precious tips Peter🔥🙌🏻 after deadband adjustments is much better !
ОтветитьThank you!!
ОтветитьTHIS VIDEO IS GOLD Thank You ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
ОтветитьI'm still currently using my Ronin m and I'm seeing micro jitters, what advice you have for me because the app is not working?
'
Perfekt og mange tak - jeg fattede hat af hvorfor jeg ikke kunne få den helt steady bløde bevægelse som jeg faktisk havde en ældre gimbal. Troede det var for tunge optikker sammen med mine bevægelser. Så tak for at forklare deadband
Må afgjort se nogle flere af dine videoer
HELP! I’m getting camera shake, which is random as my gimbal has working fine for months! I use a portrait mount as I shoot vertical. Perfectly balanced a million times and still shaking… after software updates ect
ОтветитьYou were the person who could explain it in more detail and at the same time show the result on the gimbal. congratulations. Could you make a video with more details on the app's parameters on the DJI RS3 Pro?
ОтветитьJust wanted to say thanks for this video! Been looking for settings recommendations for my RS2, and the difference in the footage I got after watching this was night and day! I used your PF and PTF settings, and I'm thrilled with how smooth the footage I'm getting is. So, thanks again for putting this out there!
ОтветитьI have a Ronin rs3 and im wanting to film with a more hand held look so I can make fast movements. What would the best settings for that?
ОтветитьNew subscriber here🎉🤝
ОтветитьDo i need to calibrate the gimbal if i take of the camera after shooting and put it back with a same setup is the calibrating or autotune the gimbal often is good thing or bad
ОтветитьPerfect, needed this! Been dealing with so much shaky footage despite the gimbal being balanced. Thanks!
ОтветитьAnyone else think this was a peter mckinnon video?
ОтветитьDude i owe you a lot. This is exactly what i needed. A FCKING DEADBAND! I completely forgot about that. Thank you so much for your tutorials. Really. You saved me a ton.
ОтветитьThank You
ОтветитьThis was extremely helpful. Thank you so much 🙏
ОтветитьFinally a video that make sense!!! Now my gimbal is set to extra smooth!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThank You very much Peter! This video is a real treasure. It's been almost a year since I purchased the RS3, but there are still some unclear nuances. Thanks to Your videos, I learned a lot. I would also like to clarify one detail related to RavenEye. On the smartphone I get a stable picture, everything is fine, but on the RS3 screen, when you swipe to the right, an image should also appear and you can use Active Track by touching the screen. But I am getting a black screen even though I have connected all 3 cables. Is this a gimbal bug or am I doing something wrong? Thank You!
ОтветитьOn your opinion is worth it upgrade RS2 to RS3?
ОтветитьWell said, sir
But please how can you balance text using the app... I guess in your video you used the gimbal itself to check for a proper balance
Hi Peter, everything what you explain here is totally right.
Anyway, there is a final step up our sleeves if the footage is still jittery (assuming balancing and all settings are done correctly):
BRING THE GIMBAL SLIGHTLY OFF BALANCE FOR THE JITTERY AXIS (YES, off-balance!)
Without jumping into deep-dive engineering explanations:
There is a principle tendency of control-loops for stabilizing mechanical systems to start 'self oszilation' in case of a perfectly balanced mechanical system - in our case a gimbal axis.
In simple words: the control-circuits just do not know into which direction to counter-act an upcoming deviation of the axis.
The simple solution is to put the problematic axis very slightly off-balance - only so slightly that it still does not want to completely swing out when the gimbal is turned off.
This keeps the stabilization control-circuit for the axis permanently slightly engaged. Again, the off-balance needs to be very slight and should not make the motor overheating.
I just solved the often posted horizon jitter of my old Weebilll S this way within a minute - now, the horizon is like spirit level.
Where did I learn this trick from: It was my control-systems & cybernetics professor 35 years ago who told us about the secrets of stabilization systems for helicopters.
would you be able to something similar with a weebill s ? many thanks
ОтветитьSettings are very specific for the type of shoot you're doing. There are no settings that will be best for all types of shooting. What would be the best settings for real estate shootings/interiors?
ОтветитьGreat tutorial @PeterMakholm as always, much appreciated. I just pulled the trigger for your tutorial PDF. I wonder if there‘s a trick to put the gimbal upside down for low shots. I always struggle with that.
ОтветитьThanks for this guide! I'm looking forward to finally tuning my RS3 properly. I didn't know you can only tweak some settings in the app. I recently tried to mess with the custom settings on the gimbal already, but I still had some unwanted jerkyness (epsecially pan).
ОтветитьGreat tutorial. I'm looking to purchase the DJI RS3 PRO for my Lumix S1H. What setting for S1H would work best for real estate tours like you are doing? I have Ninja V external recorder to shoot 422HQ V-log, or do you recommend in camera recording. with different codec?
ОтветитьSaw you didn’t update the gimbal to the latest firmware, do you think there are any issue at 04.00 compare with 02.00? I found that the 04.00 need the gimbal stay on a flat service to wake up, otherwise it couldn’t balance, while the 02.00 did not.
ОтветитьHi, It's possible to know if the Handheld Gimbal Grip you are using is compatible with RS3, because the page you linked seem does not listed rs3 but DJI Ronin-S, Ronin SC 2 only. Thanks a lot! Finally a useful video!
ОтветитьThank you, you are creative and I learned from you. May God grant you success
ОтветитьThank you
Ответитьbro you are great
ОтветитьLove your gimbal dedication
ОтветитьVery useful video. It's what I needed. Thank you so much!!!
ОтветитьPerfect timing, thanks Peter.
Ответитьthank you so much Peter. All your videos are very useful, I think they are wonderful
ОтветитьVery timely, as I have been having problems with micro jitters lately! I have already auto-tuned the gimbal and set the deadband to high. But whenever I walk, I can see these micro jitters that are so annoying. What settings do you think I should look at?
ОтветитьThanks, Finally a great explanation of how to set up the rs3
ОтветитьLove your gimbal dedication... Always to the point.
