Not worthy if I do a lot of outdoors that uses a lot of fast motions of the long selfie stick. The extra weight on 1inch makes it worse to grab and do river tracing, mountain downhill running, drone fake shots with 3 meters stick cos it bends more because is heavy, etc etc etc

Nice comparison. I agree the 1" is noticeable better. It helped me make a choice. I went with the 1" because I do indoor and low light quite a bit and the difference is worth it for me. Thanks for the video!

None of these tests are very useful because they are all shooting INTO light sources. Why not simply turn around and see what it looks like when those light sources are providing ambient light? It's amazing how I can't find a single video by someone who actually seems like they shoot in lowlight conditions.

One inch WIN in low light and better audio because it's not a water proof camera, all the mic is not fully covered/protected so the audio comes out much clearer. I have the X2 and one of my grips was the muffled audio it captured don't matter how much I play with it in Premiere Pro with EQ and noise cancellation effects. Yes, there is the option of buying extra audio source and mics for the X2/X3 but that means more money, so might as well just buy the One Inch IMO.

Thanks mate, could you make more action comparison, as both cameras codecs seems crap as most modern digital on a budget. How many artifacts do we get from reframing in dynamic scenes? Are they usable in Auto mode, how much % of workable time we get out on auto?

For the amount the one inch is asking for which the lack of waterproofing and hdr is a no go. For these extreme low light situations. I wouldnt even be moving and just mount it on a tripod and i reckon the x3 would perform 90 percent of the one inch

And actually this camera does not use a 1 inch sensor. If you look at the size of the lenses they cannot be used with a one inch (25.2 mm) sensor. The actual size of the sensor is 15.9 mm. It gives however better results than the X3.

1 inch is money wasting. The price difference does not justify the image quality. X3 best value, 1 inch very much expensive, much bigger, much heavier ... worst buy.

Nice video, I inch is slight better low light but not a big difference to me. My iPhone 14Pro takes amazing low light. My insta x3 is amazing camera but I always use the 14 pro max for low light videos

so funny watching my previous comment just got deleted.
everything is clear, this is another paid advertisement according to the script, and discussion of natural doubts and facts is not welcome here.

thanks for the detailed comparison.

when I looked at different reviews of the 1 inch, I got the impression that it is more geared towards shooting in low light conditions. during the day, there is a pronounced overexposure in the sky without using an ND filter, and the frames taken by x3 look more attractive.

Big difference, 1-inch better low noise, better sharpness and the audio is also much clearer on the 1-inch

How was it, walking along at night with not one, but two selfiesticks in front of you? :-)

I agree with all that you said... it is marginally better but definitely noticeable, but it is also $350 more expensive when compared to the X3. As long as we take that into account it makes sense to compare these two. Nice job!

夜間では1インチの方が明るさでは有利だと思うが、やはり軽さのX3が扱いやすいね。

Fantastic review... im considering the x3, if you have to zoom in 200% to see any difference the 1inch is not worth the extra money, also most people are going to watch video on a phone, I watched your review on a 22inch monitor in 1440p and the difference in image quality seems subtle, considering the x3 is waterproof the water resistance may be more of a benefit for watersports etc than the slight increase in low light performance.

Obviously the One Inch produces a better image, but unless I win the lottery, I don't think I'll be able to afford it anytime soon. Thanks for the vid! :)

Another great review. While there are some differences you point the two takeaways for me is that the 1 inch footage seems at be a bit more yellow than the x3. But, the 1inch audio seems to be way better,

To get the best stabilization you want to go no lower than 1/100th and preferably 1/250th for shutter speed. Optionally you can also just turn off flow state if you make the FOV wide enough and are holding it semi-stable. I love the quality of the 1 inch, BUT it not being waterproof is a fairly big deal breaker for me. For the versatility of the X3 I will take the minor loss of image quality. It took me awhile to jump on the insta360 wagon, but now that I have an X3, I have to admit, it can do about 90% of everything I need when it comes to "action" style cameras. It has basically taken the place of my GP11, Pocket 2, and other small cameras. If my X3 can't do it i'll just break out my FX3 or A7SIII with a 1.8 lens.

Hmmmm. But who would view a video at 200% zoom? They look fairly similar to me and as a runner who needs a lighter option running in the day, I will probably go for the x3. Did you do a comparison between the x2 and the x3 stephen?
