This has got to be one of my most favorite videos ever ... way too FUNNY .. fastest on the block !!!
ОтветитьInteresting - I see what appears to be a "Baja Scorpions" sticker behind the pilot (who is possibly Brian) in one of the shots during this clip. That was for F-117 flight test, so a little surprising. Maybe it's just stock footage or something. I am sorry to hear that Brian has passed away. RIP Sleddriver.
ОтветитьI love this story.
ОтветитьA few clips from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".
ОтветитьRIP Brian
Ответить😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьI have heard this before i still laugh my butt off every time, what a great story.
ОтветитьThat's a good story.
ОтветитьSomethings wrong here, at that height and the distance LA is from Tucson he shouldn't have been able to see LA. LA would have been 3553ft below the horizon.
ОтветитьR.I.P Brian Shul...
ОтветитьOh yeah, go black bird!!
ОтветитьR.I.P Brian Shul. May you dance with the angels now.
ОтветитьWhat a blessing…
Ответитьmay Mr Shul blast across the heavens
godspeed
God bless Brian 🙏
Thanks for your service ! May your new wings 🪽 take you further, and faster than the old ones could !
An awesome story about an awesome aircraft.
ОтветитьI wish I still had the link to the article regarding the flight stories of this magnificent plane. Officially it could do mach 3.2 but multiple pilots have pushed it up to, and occasionally past 3.7, and thats when the jet black plane starts glowing a medium red. I've also heard a rumor that on the final flight, the pilots attempted to find its true top speed, and found out they couldn't carry enough fuel to max out the engines. No idea if its true, but badass all the same!
ОтветитьThat was hilarious
ОтветитьRIP Mr. Shul thank you for your service.
ОтветитьI love this story. I never get tired of hearing it. It makes me smile everytime.❤
ОтветитьAnd the SR-71 still holds the record all these years later. Kelly Johnson would be so proud.
ОтветитьThis is still the most beautiful jet ever built.
ОтветитьI keep coming back. I watched this 100 times already over the years. Great story.
ОтветитьRIP Brian Schul 🇺🇸🕊️
Ответитьit's generally accepted that this guy's stories, while based on facts, were mostly just embellishments. Not harmful per se, but not true stories.
ОтветитьAs much as I love this story I think it would have been cooler had Walter not responded after being given his airspeed. It broke the illusion that they all needed to be told by ground the way the Cessna did and made it clear it was a pissing contest. Sometimes less is more.
ОтветитьSad to learn that we lost Brian, in May this year (2023). He died in harness, doing what he was exceptional at.
ОтветитьStill the best story
ОтветитьR.I.P Major Brian Shul
ОтветитьBrian was an excellent story teller so you know it was matched by his skills as a pilot. He will be missed
ОтветитьNever, ever,,, gets Old!!!! Bless you guys and Thank You so much!!! Not only for the mission... but this EPIC FLIGHT! Brian and Walter.
ОтветитьA fascinating Pilot in the most amazing aircraft ever built. RIP Sir.
ОтветитьMy favorite sr-71 story is when the russians shot a missle at it and all they had to do to evade was just speed up!
ОтветитьFly higher than ever, Major. RIP
(8 February 1948 – 20 May 2023)
Never get tired of hearing that story
ОтветитьAnyone from Bill Burr?
ОтветитьGreatest story ever!
Ответитьone of the best stories I've heard ❤️
ОтветитьLooped this for a while and listened in memory. I did not know he passed away. Such an incredible person pilot and speaker, photographer etc.
"For a few moments it was absolutely fun to be the fastest guys around!"
RIP Sleddriver!
RIP. LEGEND!
ОтветитьI just read the top speed of the SR-71 is not limited by the engines but by the melting point of the plane. So faster than Mach 3. That would be cool. I've seen pictures of them at 75,000 feet.
ОтветитьRIP Sir 🇺🇸 ❤
ОтветитьWhat an annoying voice! Never knew Donald Trump flew the Blackbird!
Ответить❤😂🎉the delivery was just perfect 🎉😂❤
ОтветитьBrain knew the earth isnt flat…
