ive just turned Born again in Christ and i got a bad Crack Addiction that seems to be an uphill battle i try really hard till i get paid and i ended up losing the battle i hate doing it but i get really sick with cravings' i really hope i can beat this things.

Been off of Crack since Aug 9 2009 . Lost my family, house,cottage boats cars trucks and my refrigeration company. Been struggling for years finally got my business Back and go figure I started smoking Crack again the first lesson wasn't enough I guess. Last night I smoked 10 1/2 grams. I didn't sleep I'm supposed to work today but I'll spend the day recovering. I feel like calling my dealer yet I'm so ashamed of myself. I now have my children proud of me again if they knew it would decimate them. Just my children alone is too much to lose. It's time I start growing a backbone.

I was in aa and na for a decade. That culture in there was just as sick as using crack- just in a dif way.

The moment you said the best recovery is the 12 step program gave me a reason to give this a thumbs down. It doesn't work for everybody. SMART Recovery, and by extension CBT worked better for me. It highly depends on your values. I tend to look at logic more than giving myself over to some higher power admitting I am helpless, that is why 12 steps failed for me.

AA has NOT been proved to be effective! they guess only about 3% stay sober there!
