There's something nostalgic about 1980s TV news. I was a wee child at the time but seeing these grainy videos of the time really brings me back to my childhood.

What would have Afghans in Afghanistan have done if the Soviet Union stayed longer and did not have the help they needed? For example, if the US wasn't involved or provided military equipment to the Afghan Mujahideen (present-day Al Qaeda & Taliban)?

I’m calling it; Putin is gonna go after Afganistan again…his forces have been doing the same circling “joint exercises” near the boarder like they did Ukraine. He even has mentioned middle eastern “aggression” the same way he uses the excuse for attacking Ukraine.
