Fabledom Is A City-Builder Casual Gamers Can Be Proud Of In 2023 | 10 Hour Early Access Review

Am I the only one who thinks a game stops being "casual" once you introduce combat/conflict? I'm now worried about invasion. That's the opposite of casual.

My biggest problem with gaming market trend these days is the absence of proper combat and blood. It is a medieval city builder yet looks like a unicorn fairy? How is this logical? At least toggle option for these features. Do you have to be a sassy princess to enjoy gaming? Sigh, Simp gen.

Just because it is visually cozy and utopian, it is not fooling anyone with grid system.

Great video buddy. Quick question, my wife likes city building games, and usually plays on her mobile. However, I want to buy her a casual easy to understand city building game on PC. I got against the storm but it was too hard for her, any suggestions? Thanks!

The user interface looks a little small. Is it scalable?

can you PLZ get rid of the anoying bar in the top of the screen who asks me to become a member for like 50 times in the first 5 minutes. we are not all from the US, some ppl out there have standards.

I played the demo and enjoyed it

The art stlye is an instant deterrent for my tastes.

Wearing a reverse ballcap whilst sitting in a high-back chair seems very impractical.

This game reminds me of the settlers that Bluebyte came out with back In the early days. I think that this game goes deeper and has better graphics then the settlers did and I think that even the new settlers game is trash compared to this. It doesn't even have a freemode/sandbox mode to speak of at all. So If I were to compare this to the settlers newest game this game easily destroys It In terns of features and graphics and pricing. I would easily give this game a 10/10 easily.

I found it mind numblingly boring. Like Anno but without any character or personality. It offers absolutely nothing innovative and disguises this with the pretense of being for casual players.

Does it run on steam deck?

The only gripe I have with this game is the lack of conflict/challenge. currently its just build for aesthetics.
For those who want a casual city builder with clear goals, Against the Strom highly recommend.
Hopefully Fabledom introduces a confilct system that utilizes the hero more or quest to help known fairytale characters.

Side note: This set style would totally fit a sequel to *FAT PRINCESS from PSP era.*
That game was so fun esp in multiplayer and everyone chaotically choosing their classes and hats to fight with or mine resources with.

ALL EARLY ACCESS GAMES SHOULD BE FREE... Your helping THEM to improve their game while in development and paying for something that is UNFINISHED. All they then have to do is when the game is ready for full release, you then either pay to keep your game and/or progress or lose the "CD" download KEY to the game so it then becomes inactive. I don't know why this isn't standard.

Thats why I love to play citybuilders with at least one "easy difficulty" setting save.
Sometimes I just don§t want to stress about micromanagement and just enjoy looking at things to blossom and develop by themselves.

Idr if I was watching Splat play this or what, but it does look cute, cozy and inviting. I've wanted to get into city builders, but everything I've encountered is so unbelievably daunting that I shy way from it. It's good to hear you guys' take on this and definitely made me more interested.
