Great 👍 👌
ОтветитьNobody here is bored man. We live this stuff. Keep up the great work!
ОтветитьJust sold comics this weekend at a show in Louisville and people were buying books. I did real good. This was a small show so it was more for the collector and they bought a lot of keys, mostly newer MCU spec and DC. Multiple people bought filler FF. My next show is in March and I expect that show to be affected by tax refunds.
ОтветитьOctober November 2022 is when I got the best purchase deals.
ОтветитьI’m a wait for the 2 rate rises coming. Do people have money for comics and movies and holidays? God bless COVID it showed how dumb people are with money 🧻🧻🧻
ОтветитьTo use an acronym I think the seas are going to be a little rough for the next year-and-a-half because I think this Administration is not helping at all and there's my two cents and thanks for all the beautiful information that you share you are so knowledgeable for your age congratulations and of course all the best to you and yours
ОтветитьPick up my amazing Spider-Man. 300. 8.5. White page’s. Paid 500. I’m a happy camper ❤️ to me it’s a. Month worth of gas. Only thing. Is that I will have it for ever. As art. Hanging. In my bedroom.
ОтветитьActually a pretty good episode
ОтветитьI blame sites like whatnot. Those sites are absolutely pumping out comic sales. None of it is reported, but eventually it spills out into the recorded sales.
ОтветитьGood stuff…love being back in my college microeconomics class again!
ОтветитьCPI is a lie..especially when they change the formula. And true inflation for goods are still high and climbing. It’ll be a long time till true inflation drops.
Definitely not out of the woods.
Are you talking from a point of view of someone who bought key issues during the 2021 comic book boom?
Ответитьhey every1 subscribed to this channel, like and comment this video
ОтветитьDarkhawk forever brother 😎
I have one 9.8 darkhawk 1 and still feel like I’m utterly lacking
Thank you for your in-depth comic book analysis. I am now 70 years old and in the 1970's I completed a Marvel collection 1963 to 1981 most of which was low grade. I was a heavy reader of each new Overstreet Price Book each year, watching my collection increase in value. If I remember correctly values began to plateau late 1970's. I lost my career job in 1980 and many other domino's began to fall. It was at this time I was forced to liquidate my collection. I sold Amazing Fantasy 15, 1.5 on eBay after the first Spiderman movie was aired for 1,100 at auction. There have been several financial crisis to date and tonight on Ebay the asking price is 25,000, I sold FF 1 7.0 ungraded for 300.00. I did keep my complete Dr, Strange collection a FF 48,49,52 and 57. I am a buyer today of books which I feel are blatantly overlooked by the podcasters. My synopsis is that we have some rough waters ahead due to large corporate layoffs occurring weekly and another housing bubble losing air. Keep presenting, I listen
ОтветитьGreat stuff Swag!
ОтветитьI watched to the end of the video.
ОтветитьCorrection: inflation didn’t drop, the rate of increase of inflation dropped but prices are still going up. All economic indicators are pointing towards inflation/recession staying with us for a number of years.
ОтветитьComics not selling prices need to come down.
ОтветитьDo you really believe that Inflation is at 6.4 %. The FED talks about lowering the rate, yet all they do is continue to Inflate. The big scam. Do you really believe the CPLie numbers what they are supposed to be? Shadowstats has them over18% if inflation was calculated the way it was done in the past. The Fed will continue to inflate and headwinds will continue to rise all year if not more. Ask yourself, do you really think the Fed is going to lower inflation? Central Banks want to continue to inflate so they can make buyers and sellers of last resort. In other worlds, DEBT SLAVES! Sorry but I dont think the comic bottom is in AT ALL. First the Fed said, Inflation was Transitory, then they said is Temporary, then the goal was to get it at 2% while they spent more money. Now, they say Inflation is Sticky! And currently they want to target 5%. Absolutely laughable and a joke if it wasnt so serious! Watch buying comics the entire year, cause I believe the low will be going lower! During last turndown from 2008 to 2012 some top blue chips went up. Others held. But most anything else took nosedives. I was buying 9.8s at super bargain prices.
ОтветитьKang is greater than inflation!!!!!
ОтветитьWatched till the end. I'm still saving funds to buy big books before Summer...if I can afford them by then. Lol
ОтветитьInflation will tends to boost values of collectibles over the long-term as the each dollar becomes worth less, the price of assets in dollars will rise. The danger of high interest rates is tanking the economy as collectibles do take a hit in recessions (excepting perhaps, for the very high end art that long term investors will move into, things like AF15 and Detective 27).
Ответить😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴
ОтветитьTotal BS… inflation still high.. gas is creeping back up and food keeps going up.
ОтветитьI like these kind of videos because they're absolutely relevant to what we do and what we love to do. I've been buying books pretty heavily this past month and January because I'm starting to see some capitulation and I'm not seeing a lot of other shoppers out doing what I'm doing which is spending hundreds of dollars digging through back bins. I just picked up a good copy of iron Man 128 for 70 bucks... I'll take that all day. Just like in regular markets be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy.
ОтветитьSwags you do the best lines and graphs man!! thanks for all allways being willing to break it down🍻
ОтветитьThe inflation numbers quoted by the media can be very deceptive. People need to understand that it is a year over year number. The problem with that is that comparing this month's YoY rate to last month's also depends on how much prices changed in those months last year. What we hear on the news is that inflation went down .04% from last month. Yay! I think a better indicator of what prices are really doing is the month over month rate, and the month over month rate actually increased from .1% in December to .5% in January, i.e. prices went up at a faster rate in January than they did in December. Not a good sign that inflation is actually improving.
ОтветитьYes, I saw Brice driving by my house. He's in a white Toyota Camry, he has been in SoCal all week. That's cool! I thought he wanted my books but now I know he's going to Hollywood to be with you....
ОтветитьLoved it !! Super helpful and no knackling out at zero . Lol. Thanks for the video swagglehaus
ОтветитьWe are definitely not out of the woods. Most respected Economists in the world are stating that we are going into the worst of it. Most if not all, are stating that the deepest part of the Recession will not hit until this Summer. Naturally, these are just predictions. However, it is a consensus. The Fed is only backing this up with continued rate hikes this year.
ОтветитьThank you for your analysis of the CPI and its correlation to comic prices. Very interesting stuff!
I am concerned that we may see a significant decline in the near future.
If we believe that comic prices are nearing parity with stock prices, then....
Between October 2007 and March 2009, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 all suffered declines of over 50%.
If there is a new crash or recession in the stock markets, then we may see comics with steep declines, too. But, that may be a great buying opportunity.
Can you do an in depth analysis with charts and deep dive on DARKHAWK.
ОтветитьThank you for applying prices to rates. Still hard to read versus impact of movies or announcements of shows, etc.
ОтветитьGreat comics economics breakdown as usual! Keep doing these for us!
ОтветитьI you want to buy. Buy. Buy smart.
ОтветитьIt’s a trap
ОтветитьGreat.
ОтветитьTax return season always provides a little boost
