What cable did you use for connecting the camera to the computer? Canon's website lists two cables as compatible the IFC-600PCU and the IFC-500U but the IFC-500P definitely does not fit. Before I run out and purchase yet another cable I want to be sure the IFC-600PCU will work. It's crazy that they do not include the cable with the camera purchase.

Is the camera supposed to be in some special mode? I never installed the EOS Utility and double checked; it is not installed. In Zoom, for video I just get the EOS WEBCAM UTILITY graphic. The EOS Rebel T6 is set to the icon showing an old style movie camera. I must be missing something obvious.

my OBS webcam source - just says webcam utility beta. no picture :( UPDATE. I have since worked out / found out, that you need to to disable the WiFi on the actual camera . Once I don’t that, I removed the source. turned off the camera . Restarted OBS. Connected camera Added new source. Now working.

Works great with my T4i. I did have to uninstall the eos utility 2 i had installed.

Great video, thanks for the tutorial. My issue is I'm trying to use my Canon EO5 M50 in Twitch, more specifically Twitch Sings (the karaoke game app). Twitch Sings lists the EOS Webcam Utility Beta in the dropdown camera selection, but there is no picture (no video). Any fix or suggestions?

Does anyone know if it is possible to use your Canon as a webcam, but also record the video to a separate card or folder on your hard drive? I use my 5d Mark IV as a webcam for streaming but I would like to do some film making tutorials while live streaming. The problem is I want people to see what the camera sees live and I also want the uncompressed footage to then load into After Effects while I'm still live, so that I can show how compositing can be done.
