Just a super quick and easy video explaining the best killers for beginners / starters! If you just started playing, feel free to copy the perks I use for each of the gameplays as those are, in my opinion, the best builds you can play if you don't have other killers!

genuinely? trapper, 1 you have to learn basic chase, 2 you learn survivor pathing around loops, 3 you learn which loops are dangerous, theres more but you get the point, his power requires you to understand survivor tactics and where their more likely to travel

I think that we shouldn't underestimate the Trapper. He might be a bit hard killer for a new player – but because of lack of powerful perks, not so great add-ons, and rather simple mechanic – it's a great killer to learn you total basics of the chase, timing, and route planing. The Trapper is also good choice for those, who wan't to learn a late game set-up and understanding map's sweet spots – because due to the nature of Trapper's power, you have to think ahead and have an idea where to place your traps and when.

I'm personally not much of a Trapper enjoyer, but I truly appreciate the "learning power" it's rudimentary nature can have.

What about leatherface I think he’s decent for beginners

In my opinion Doctor is fantastic at tracking for new players. His power can speed up the early game in a way most other killers struggle

I started with the trickster…then I moved to Micheal Ghostface onryo and huntress then back to trickster now I’m half decent not great at the game but now I actually have fun.

I just started using doctor for the first time after having this game for 6 years and prestiged him once during the 7 year anniversary nut never played with him,maybe once when i forst strted playing the game back in 2018 anyway damn he is good no need for info perks jist keep shofkkng trafficed areas use static blast wisely anyway hes awesome

From Free killers: Start with Wraith, buy Doctor, Knight for paid: Xeno, Ghostie, learn Nurse, play as Nurse. She's top killer. Hard and pain to master. But worth it.

Nerf the pig

Wouldn't Sadako also be good for beginners? I used to main Pig and switched to Sadako at the beginning of the year
and I think she's actually easier to play than Pig, especially with her recent rework (though I really don't like the rework...)

Myers and Freddy with dream pallets also good choise for beginners. They simple (stalk and instadown as Myers, spawn everywhere pallets as Freddy) and have decent teachables.

i wouldnt go as far to say that nemi's addons are the worst. Theres just a certain amount of time you need to put in to fully understand how the add ons function in the actual game rather than on paper. This being said, the good add ons arent even really for nemi, they're for the zombies. increasing the zombie movement speed is insanely helpful. the depleted ink ribbon and shattered stars badge both increase movement speed by a considerable amount and once a gen is done the zombies move at lightning fast pace

Oh I'm so glad u made this. I started DBD this year and played pig as my first and main killer as I liked watching my friend play, using mind games and intuition to win. Way more appealing to me. A friend started around the same time and chose oppressive spam types killers/perks, and never learned how to chase/break a loop because of it, then becomes angry when "sweaty survivors" are outplaying them. Pig (alongside playing survivor), made me learn where/when/ and on who to put pressure, as you can't afford to waste time on this killer.

First wraith is a week killer were it became good were is on good hands(a player who know well the macro of the game) and you learn this after 500 h with out yt,
2th Nemesis is a ok killer who is very week in early game, a new player will never lose befor even get tier 3(to said nemesis is very similar with oni i dont think oni is a beginner frendly killer)
3th: pig, clown is to a week killer who you have do know the game to play it

Better killer for beginners:
Trikster (you dont need maindgame)
Spirit(is a strong killer you just need to learn her gameplay)
Nightmare(the most easy killer to defend gens)
Etc

I would add Plague to the list. 2 out her 3 perks are good, it teaches about Macro gameplay and it's the less punishing of the ranged killers, while also denying med kits of survivors, one the hardest things to face in the game. Plague is a very good killer to teach to think of the game as a whole instead of only the chase you take part in.

the best tip you can give new starters is not what killer as much, but choose a basic movement speed killer like trapper. Ignore his Powers, Ignore Perks, Ignore Gens. Spend your first 10 - 20 matches ( more if you want to ) just chasing survivors and trying to get downs n hooks. Yea you will loose gens, yea you wont "win" every match. But as a new player what it will give you is experience in the chase. Every killer plays different, and before you inject bad habits from a killer into your playstyle, its worth strengthening the basics. Take the time to learn tiles and maps a little ( wont master them ofc ) keep eye on survivors see what they do etc. Just Basically play as a no perk no power killer and just enjoy learning the chase.

It will significantly increase your ability to play killer if you can learn to chase properly. And watch a few guides. ( Avoid Otzdarva if your new as he teaches bad practices that will just get people mad you )

The killer who EVERYONE was missing hits when he came out.

The killer that needs 3 HITS TO DOWN!

The killer THATS GIGANTIC AND THEREFORE THE EASIEST TO LOOP.

The killer with an IRL IQ skill check by managing a zombie economy, are they useless and get stuck, did they spot a survivor that is close or far away from them.

I could go on, but the point is made.

Also I wouldn’t put Pig, cause the stealth mechanic usually backfires with noobs. Be it missing the attack, chasing while they are slow, etc.

IMO the killers that should be here are Freddy and Ghostface.

Freddy’s Dream World is kinda bright and therefore spotting survivor might be easier for beginners. Also the snares and specially the pallets are kinda simple to use. Teleporting on gens is the simplest mechanic compared to Demogorgon’s portal which need both setup and activation.

And the other killer I would add is Ghostface. The modern DBD community completely forgot the importance of the skill of hiding your red glow.

Many survivors struggle with looping ghostface because he is both small AND chasing with stealth active removes the skill check of the red glow.

Like seriously people. So many players are completely mechanic when they play DBD. The moment they see new strategies they completely cease to function. Like a caveman discovering fire for the first time.

I miss Freddy somehow.

He is also a very basic M1 killer like Wraith and his power might seem weak, but the fact alone that you get oblivious effect on every survivor you get injured is massive (and if not, they get pulled into dream world periodically anyways which makes chases or ambushes so much easier).

The teleport is really helpful as well, no matter if you actually do teleport or just use it to freak survivors out and make them let go off a gen.

I personally think, Freddy is much easier to pick up than Nemesis or Clown who both need a certain skill of aiming. Nemesis also needs ramping up while Clown needs some bottle/reload management.

Freddy with Sloppy Butcher and Jolt (both free available in the bloodweb) can be really disgusting and can get good results quite fast.

Edit: Freddy also has some nice addons which punish failed skill checks a bit more, which also can be helpful when you start out as a killer. I think it was the little dress (yellow) and the little t-shirt (brown).

Can tell you that pig match was going very well, she's a good killer for new players and experienced players both. First hand experienced it as I was the Vittorio in that match! 😎

Myers and scream is also easy for beginners all you do is stalk and one hit everything.

I would replace Pig with Freddy. He has fake pallets that are easy to use and he also can teleport to generators. For begginers he might be very fun and simple killer to play as.

People sleep on ghostface being a strong new player character. It feels really good and increases confidence to one shot survivoids as GF, easy power to use with a great reward

Wraith was the first killer I play.. I played like 50 to 60 matches before trying out another killer. Which was the Trapper

Other killerd to learn as a beginner can be Freddy Krueger, Billy/bubba, wesker is my no1 choice

Wesker is what is recommend to beginners as he has both mobility and powers also slows down survivors

don't pick a killer based off of difficulty. Pick the one you like, and practice. I played only nurse for my first 50-ish hours on killer, and now I'm great at her, even though she is considered really difficult.

I’d say that when I started playing my favourite killer was ghostface, his easy to use and understandable power and add ons, his decent perks and with him being an m1 killer you can learn the basics of mind gaming and just playing killer in general

bruh my first killer i played was deathslinger, blight and twins😂, i got use to blight and twins really quickly. i even brought singularity once he was released

I'm actually surprised cenobite is not on this list

Cenobite is easy to play as he is just a M1 killer and his ability is to slow down survivor which really isn't that powerful as the chain can easily break

And the box is easy map pressure

I would say the plague but I have no idea if she can be classified as beginner friendly
