Noel played Mark Slate in "The Girl From U.N.C.L.E." I later saw him in "Noises Off" at the Fox in Atlanta before he died.

I met Michel Legrand in his limousine outside the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow in, I think it was 2010. He was a real gentleman. We chatted for a few minutes. I shall forget him and all the beautiful music he wrote, arranged, sung and played.

It is remarkable how the song moves us from concrete tings like balloons and carousel to totally imaginary ones like the keys jingle or the color of her hair. The act is great, but the lyrics is a piece to admire on its own.

This song is one of my favorites of the late 60s reminds me as a happy Child aged 9 and my late parents....Id never heard of Noel but I had heard of his Dad.

Hope... and malincony. This is the essence of what I feel with this song. And the masterful way in which it expresses these concepts amazes me. From a composer and musician myself.... I bow before this masterwork from Michel Legrand and everyone who covered it, eventho I dont like covers. This had to be covered for as many different ways as possible.

Swing out sister has a you tube video cover of 'Windmills of your mind. It's absolutely fabulous😁! I believe the video was filmed in front of Bono's house. Corrinne Drewery, the vocalist, such an elegant lady. SOS, probably the most under the radar music artists on the planet.
