Thx
ОтветитьSo how does the socket work in the first place, without the jumper wires? I thought just resolder them onto the PCB will do the trick?
ОтветитьJust a pro tip, make sure to twist the wires in a spiral (rolling it with your thumb and index) to keep it together and tin it (applying a small amount of the solder) before soldering to the socket ends to make your lives easier. 👍
ОтветитьNice video ! I emailed you regarding a broken hotswap socket and you helped a lot thanks for the great work
ОтветитьOmg! If you're posting such a video there are some flaws in production 😢
ОтветитьTy so much! I'm honestly going to just have a spare pcb for my sonnet and envoy. I would hate for them to stop working 10 years from now and have no way to fix them. As usual, you guys are the best. Keep the products and content coming please.
Ответитьany updates on when the july order envoys will be shipped ?
ОтветитьHello I broke my escape key hot swap socket on my dz64? pcb… will it work if I buy a separate sockets and smd diode? Any recommend sockets that I can use? Thank you very much!!
Ответить'Promosm'
ОтветитьCurious can you convert the pcd or damage hotswap socket into solder one
ОтветитьI don't think you should make short like that (yellow cable). Advising to degrade your circuit is a rubbish advice! And just why wire to next socket when D52 is right there?
Ответитьlast time I worked on fixing my mouse, i broke it comletely. Now im gonna try to fix my mechanical keyboard. Guess what key I broke? hahahahah
ОтветитьWhat are the odds that my “Z” key also doesn’t work & the 0
ОтветитьGrind finer.
Ответитьwhat if I broke the switch port but the hotswap socket didn't come off? how do I desolder it?
Ответитьcan you also use copper or solder wire for this?
ОтветитьQuestion: Didn't you by pass the diode with this conection?
ОтветитьWait so why does the pcb normally not have a ton of wires on the back? Does reattaching the socket not reconnect it to the circuit?
ОтветитьWhat gauge wire did you use?
ОтветитьLove you man! This video saves my old keycool 84 ❤️
ОтветитьI just watched this, I just got my gmk67 keyboard and I noticed that the enter button is not working so I checked to inspect what happened and I saw that the enter key has a broken hotswap and I temp fixed it using a painter's tape and tapped modded the pcb. yikes
Ответитьmy keyboard is non hot swappable and 65% and the up arrow, down arrow, and whole right edge have stopped responding although the rgb still functions. I’m confused on how to go about fixing this or if it’s even possible to fix. can anyone help me with this?
Ответитьjumping with joy cuz my key works again
ОтветитьI just buy new RK61 and the enter button is not working. I try all of solution, not until I open the back of the keyboard. Yes, the hotswap socket pad is lifted. Just push down then now its workk ! THANK YOUUU
Ответитьoutstanding video
ОтветитьCan you help? I have a problem with my mechanical keyboard. When I press one key, three more are printed. For example, I press the j key, and dhj is printed.
ОтветитьThanks! This was super helpful! Glad I found this tutorial as I was just about to e waste my pcb.
ОтветитьCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC MY C IS WORKING AGAINN
Ответитьmy row of left shift to /?key is not working where do i start the bridge?
Ответитьanyone added these hot swap pcb's to a k2v2 non hot swap version? gonna be switching my switches and would like to be able to put these on.
ОтветитьDoes anyone have a problem where the key registers when using tweezers from the back but doesn't register when actually pressing the switch from the front? My Haven TKL's tab key isn't working when a use different switches and press it, but it does work when I use tweezers from the back. Please help!
Ответитьthank you so muchhh
ОтветитьI did a tape mod on the pcb of my drop alt keyboard and now the 3, E, D keys don’t work. I used green painters tape.
Somebody help!

ОтветитьMy keyboard (epo maker th80) caps a s d f g keys are not working can you help me i tried changing the switches still doesnt work i would really appreciate it, love your videos
ОтветитьMy kyboard has the lttr "" Brokn. I will try to fix it.
ОтветитьIf any of you need to repair a YMDK75v4 (low chance but still), somehow fixing the right (while looking from the bottom) socket pin to the right pin on the socket on row below to the right fixed the whole socket while attaching two jumper wires led to both the key that was broken AND the key to which the jumper led to activate. The datasheet for the YMDK75v4 is not available so it's hard to say what's happening, but I found success with only one cable over the right pin and the column. Good luck!
ОтветитьI tried it on the GMK67, didn’t expect it to work but it’s excellent. Tip: don’t use Kynar Wiring, the outside is an electrical conductor. It isn’t a bad wire, but if the wire touches one of the Solder Points, it can block flow. It’s an easy fix if moving it away.
Ответитьwouldn't it be more elegant to solder a Mill-Max socket? Not sure if this would make sense
Ответитьim seriously surprised that this actually worked. I legit used bread ties as the jumper wires and it actually worked. No solder, just kinda shoved it in there. Saved me an amazon return lol
ОтветитьDo you can fix my key board (button W not respond) if tou can ? What are your contact
