Hello, good day to you.
I see that you have mouse support in your layout. Is the support built-in for ZMK? Or is a specific, forked version required?
Thank you in advance.
would love to see a bit more typing action / what happens on the screen as you're talking through key combinations etc. nice video.
Ответитьpersonally i use a one-key morse code setup but we all start somewhere
ОтветитьYou are correct, sir. I don't believe it. :-)
ОтветитьHey your videos encouraged me to get a corne keyboard. How do I set the shortcuts and keys to use a german layout instead of the US one?
ОтветитьI'm just starting with my 42 keys split keyboard for Vim. So that were very useful and sensible advices. Thank you!
For now I'll try to stick only to 2 layers and 2nd layer will be activated on hold. Yeah, it'll require some combinations, but I try to arrange it the way that fingers return back home without looking at the keyboard.
The thing that really scares me is the amount of time I have to spend working/training/learning with a new keyboard to start typing at least at previous speed. What if I don't like the layout ?
where can I buy KB like yours without stupid soldering 😭 Why is it so difficult???
ОтветитьI listen vim, i smashed the like button i mean how a vim lover could do something wrong lol
ОтветитьYou know what the most effective keyboatd layout is? The one Ive been ysing daily for the last 35 years. Anything else is far less efficient.
Ответитьthis is a fascinating conversation. i would like to see a typing demonstration
ОтветитьI'm weird enough as I am, YT, stop trying to sell me a keyboard addiction. This is just creepy.
ОтветитьLooks nice, but I don't understand it. How are the letters on the keyboard? You need VR?
ОтветитьIt would be great if you could illustrate your "effectivness" by giving us your typing score on typeracer.
ОтветитьBut is it effective for gaming
ОтветитьAnyone have tips on learning the different layers? I'd simply love a virtual display of the layer that I'm on until I become proficient.
ОтветитьTalk talk talk what about using the keyboard
Ответитьthis is very enjoyable but it desperately needs some more visual elements to help understand. you go through it quickly and entirely in dialogue
Ответитьthis looks so autistic
ОтветитьThis is NOT the keyboard for me.
As a Blender artist, if I don't have a 100% keyboard and a 3 button mouse, I'll die.
Yes, there's a difference between period and numpad period. Numpad period centers the selection onscreen, period opens a radial menu that changes the transform's pivot point.
🙂
Ответить2030:1 key to rule them all
ОтветитьThis thing needs a PhD in clickology 😛
ОтветитьThat repeatable layer switching is genius. I think I would have to adapt this slightly for my needs, typing hexadecimal numbers looks a bit fiddly. Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьWhy you say effective, how many real problems did you solve using it?
I mean not your particular problem to have smaller keyboard layout, or achieving engineering experience.
He just invented fn key
Ответить10 minutes and you didn't even press any keys! show some actual typing :)
ОтветитьThis is nice! I recently bought the ZSA Moonlander and although it has taken a few days to get used to, I'm already loving it. This 34 key layout would make a nice super portable version of that.
Ответитьit's not
Ответитьamazing
ОтветитьI am not positive, but it could be that having less keys can actually trigger more fatigue in conditions such as RSI as movements become more repetitive.
ОтветитьThis keyboard would look great with small LCD screens on the buttons to display the characters
ОтветитьSomething like this would be cool to see in a sci-fi movie, I don't think we want to get rid of keyboards in the future.
ОтветитьYou are using tap to the layer with your {} () [] etc but surely this creates a massive slowdown when you are using vim, particularly around navigation with {} and typing code blocks with the rest, how to you get around that?
Ответитьkeyboard video without the actual typing. Ineffective stupid video.
ОтветитьEver seen an organ player. Add a good foot pedal (or two) and you can jump between layers without having to worry about shift keys. Almost like the foot pedals become shift keys.
ОтветитьI would love to see a video where you code in vim using this keyboard :-)
ОтветитьThis requires way too much mental overhead. Absolutely not worth it for the small benefit of not having to move your fingers as much, and that is coming from a Vim user.
ОтветитьI believe how ineffective this keyboard layout is.
ОтветитьWhat if the keys had illuminated background displays, which would change as soon as the layer keys are hit, for visual reference ?
ОтветитьI'm personally horrified by the idea of backspace being on a second layer (which probably just means I make too many typing mistakes), but otherwise this is a really cool layout. I am a HUGE proponent of panic keys to get to the home layer
Ответитьi don't believe, you're right..
ОтветитьDrinking game: take a shot everytime he says “layout”
ОтветитьGood job. I like how it takes up lest space on desktop. Sub'd Ty for shearing.
I'm designing and concept and dexterity testing for a 2 mouse's setup like this. mouse/keyboard hybrids. My next steps it to make os that can handle 2 cursers at same time similar to the same coding for virtual reality systems.
What's the benefits?
Ответитьremember T9? 9-12 keys, 2 thumbs (or 1) and 160 characters in seconds. there were even competitions back then. people could type while driving and having a sandwich and not even look at their phones yet send text with 100% accuracy. the past 20 yrs have been backward in terms of efficiency i think.
ОтветитьReally interesting. What microcontroller does it use? Or are there two microcontrollers?
Ответитьyou still need the flyback diodes every time you have a mechanical switch , this man really said that this keyboard doesn't require diodes because its not layered as a matrix XD. Search about the collapsing of electromagnetic fields you know the voltage generated are way higher than what the micro controller can handle, i hope it last as long as the wrong explanation.
ОтветитьMy god what a waste o time get a life man!
Ответитьway beyond my comprehension but I so wish I could understand. a side note: I did find it amusing that a person who is so conscious of finger/typing fatigue actually gesticulates every word he says like a composer. Great video - thanks for enlightening a dumb ass.
