What Domain Extension Should a Designer Get?

I just use myname .github .io

There is one major problem with all new extensions: renewal price. Registration price might be $5, but renewal price is $35. That's 3 times higher than .com pricing. So saying that using .design is money saving option is a lie.

I can proudly say that I am a designer with my business up and running, with clients asking for contactand and etc. The thing is that I've spend only 1.5 year on learning all of this stuff but I have knowledge worth 3-4 years of non-stop everyday learning it... Pretty crazy

So today's question is: did you ever used one of these new TLDs? For me: I once had a client with a .expert domain and I personally own a .space domain, better reflects my overall approach in IT.
