Sage (Breville) Duo Temp Pro: Home Espresso Machine Review

Hey. Great video. I just bought one used and the water from the head is coming out only from one side. It’s like the other side of the group head is blocked. What could that be down to?

It seems like the whole machine is about 4 inches wider than necessary just to accommodate the magnetic tamper holder. I would rather buy my own tamper and sit it on top of a machine that has a narrower footprint.

OK here's a really really dumb question why is it called Sage? everyone just consider me your comedy relief. haha

Hello Tom. I do now have the bambino plus but I keep watching videos of the duo temp pro. Do you think this would be a better option then the bambino plus to buy instead or you recommend just to stay with the expresso machine I currently have?

Tom, does this thing tell you when to clean and descale like other models? Like, do the lights blink or something. I'd guess no since I can't think of a way that it would have any sort of cycle as it is a manual mode only machine. (A plus in my book.)

What's the portafilter size on this? Can you do a demo using plant based milk too? I was considering this machine or the Gaggia Classic Pro but i don't know how they team soy milk. Great videos and very helpful info btw :)

I have just purchased one of these coffee machines but can't get a hot coffee when the grounds are infused. What am I doing wrong here please.

why do u use the filter, when your water ist already filtered?

Great review thankyou. I wonder if they have updated the design as I received one here in UK today and it states 9 bar extraction all the earlier reviews state 15 bar. If they have changed then a bonus I wasn't expecting :)

wow amazing machine,I Love the barista pro but to ship to Malta it comes hefty.I had to get the dedica with your suggested mods:).Keep the videos coming.

I thought that to prime you need to first turn the hot water on, have water run through there and then switch to coffee brewing mode and have water run through the group head. You did it the other way around

I can't wait to get one! For now I have a delonghi dedica deluxe and my rancilio wand is arriving tomorrow! No more mediocre steaming!!

I've been using Sage Barista Pro for about two years. This is the best choice in my opinion and my needs.

Is it 15 bar or 9 bar at the portafilter ?

I have this machine since 1 month and I am very happy with it. Being Italian and living in France I miss my italian ristretto coffee. With this machine I get close to it and I am satisfied. Thanks for the video.

I'm not sure if I like how the steam function works, but it seems like a super cute little machine :)

It's good that this machine comes with 4 filter baskets and gives you the option to choose which one to use !

i always get nervous when you talk instead of pulling the shot when you attached the porta filter with the coffee inside to the machine xD

You are using the same multimeter as i saw the breville express showed 92c this 86c i dont get why 4c degree less 🤔

Great Machine, I recommended it to a friend close to 3 years ago and it still going strong

Yay... but I'd still go for the Bambino for the smaller footprint and lower price for something simple/ basic like this (I'd prefer the Bambino Plus) although that tamper keeper makes me want one of these bigger Brevilles❤

My first machine! It was great paired with a hand grinder. Although having switched to a Bianca/Specialita combo I don't have the heart to go back to the Duo Temp for a comparison :(
