Just use a general formula
For
A1x + B1y = C1 and
A2x+ B2y = C2
D = A1*B2 - B1*A2
x =( C1*B2 - B1*C2) / D and
y = ( A1*C2 - C1*A2) / D
This is cramers rule which solves using determinants. If gives the same answer just directly. If you look carefully at which A, B and C 's are in use it is easy to remember.
