Went to the launch of the Pearson Forge Last week. The designer, Scott and Guy Pearson himself presented the bike, the tech, the process etc. I have ordered one.

Ollie was like a little boy in a sweet shop. . His eyes lit up brighter than some of the paint jobs he was showing. Great honest presentation with an honesty only Ollie can bring. .

The paint on that Quirk is fantastic....the lettering..........cringe as all hell.

As in - a light and sturdy frame, rim brakes, bottom bracket and headset bearings that are compatible with existing spare parts, a groupset that I can service myself at home, cables that I can get to,, etc. A total package that is simple, fast, affordable, and built to last. Whats so hard ?

Sorry, custom paint isn't tech. Show us the latest wheels, frames, drive trains and brake systems. Yeah paint is nice but doesn't provide gains.

For the Wilier conundrum, the Astana is beautiful up close, but then so is the Ramato, it really would be hard to pick one over the other. The Ramato should age better and last that bit longer

It was my first time at the bike show and I loved it. Absolutely fantastic.

The issue here is a bike should be created to be ridden. was the point to put those bikes together when you can clearly ride them whit out make any damage

The only color i want on my bike is mud and dust.

Back in the day when color printers became pervasive, everybody used color for the sheer sake of using color. Seems like painting has become the next color printer. Lots of colors just because you can.

There should be more nice bikes with geometry made for the people who buy them. Would be a nice video comparing a real pro bike from the era where they had custom frames to a off-the-shelf bike from back in the day.

Hey, GCN Tech team. Can I upgrade the wheels on my obsolete but beloved 2008 Specialized Roubaix - a pre-SL2 rim brake carbon frame? I'd like to use tubeless tires, but I've heard that heat from the brake track can blow wheels off the rims. The bike is fitted with mis-matched rim brake alloy wheels of 21 mm (exterior) by my vernier measuring tool. The rims are fitted with tires that measure 28mm tires that fit easily in the frame and fork and snuggly in period brakes. The tires do bulge above the rims.

To the questions: 1) Are carbon rim brake wheels safe enough to fit? 2) Can I fit tubeless tires? 3) Can you estimate a suitable exterior rim width?

I'm 74. I plan group rides - no racing and there are no big hills here. I'm very fond of the bike and have upgraded it a couple of times, most recently to R7000 105 with a Praxis crank just before Shimano announced the electronic groupset. I'm coming into money and plan to spec a titanium all-singing, all-dancing all-arounder for rougher use.
