Big thanks to everybody that are part of the Zombie battery campaign for making this video possible! I have been wanting to do this for many years but I haven't had resources to do this in a safe and responsible way (are any of my videos safe and responsible?) but now it's done and it was worth of all the effort. And great that we were also able to deliver some important information with the entertainment!

This video really accomplished its aim. Just underscoring how damn DANGEROUS these batteries are. I don’t even like having any rechargeable batteries in my house because they all are lithium! Fortunately none of mine have ever swollen or had a problem. But that’s always a little worry for me.

My cousins face got permanently fucked up by someone throwing these in the trash. He was a garbage collector and dumped someone's household trash in the truck, then ran the compactor. He was standing not too far from the flame when this reaction occurred and gave him 2nd degree burns on his face, neck and chest. Please remember this next time you dispose of batteries.

Good i was going to g to say dont press batteries but you have taken all kinds if precautions and even had experts present and so on. So to everyone else do not experiment with batteries and dispose of them properly

Can you do one experiment.
You put lithium battery inside earth. With time cover will rot.
Put water for rotting.
My experiment is it possible to recharge capacity of lithium as new. Earth have capacity to recharge material. For this you must not break casing by pressure. Using pressure we get fire and all lithium is burn.
So remove casing without pressure or let it rot by itself.
