Umm, the flat earth bit was spot on. But the majority of news today is opinion based and heavily edited to fill a narrative. It happens on both sides. The reason people are turning to independent journalists is that they don't have a cooperate backer. To have relevance as an independent, you list sources. That way, people can check for themselves. The mainstream media just says believe us because we said it. 🙄

its not the internet, it's the fact that technology has made it easier to post things. back in the day when I used to use message boards back in the 80s and 90s, you may not have agreed with what someone said, however to access those message boards and to even get on the net, you had to have a level of knowhow and intelligence.
