RedM - How to fix Unable to find requested identifier steam

I can't even open RedM. I downloaded it, attempted to install. Looks like everything installed fine.. I launch it and it says I need to open the rockstar launcher or steam.. I have steam open.. but nothing? Any ideas?

This doesn't work for me because RedM has changed since then, now what?

hey soooooo i just downloaded redm and when ever i try launching it i just get, run as regular user and not administraitor and i dont know how to fix that please help

If changing to Canary has caused your launcher to stop opening go to C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\RedM\RedM Application Data and open the file CitizenFX.ini and remove the line that says "update_channel=canary". Then restart the launcher.

I did this and now mine will not open at all not and just says the "requested URL returned error 404. Checking bootstrapper version"
