I believe the stealth for the F22 in DCS is OP. The S400 can see a tiny missile travel mach 5 + and hit it with accuracy but can't see a large plane with afterburners firing missiles. I'm sure radar isn't the only technology it uses.

This seems like the type of mission the F-35 was designed to accomplish.

this is like hind sight for all intents and purposes but given the recent performance of the S-300 in the past year, imma say that neither system can actually shoot down HARMs. Definitely the S-300 cant do that, but probably not the S-400 either. Gotta love the overstated capabilities lol.

I'm sure the US have truly stealth proof their 5th and master it on the 6th gen fighter jets by using their own testing against their own radar defense systems with higher success rate of not getting caught on radar. There is a reason why they praise highly of the stealth capability over everything instead of being better at dogfight or being faster don't mean anything in air engagements, you cant fight what you cant see

Given that the S-400's radar is the size of a truck, being able to scan and track 300 targets isn't that impressive. The Longbow radar, for comparison, is small enough to sit atop the AH-64D's rotor mast and can scan and track 256 targets simultaneously... not to mention detect the type of target, whether it's moving or stationery, and whether it's in the air or on the ground... and coupled with the RFI even the model of SAM/AAA threat.

wouldn’t the f-35 be a better option for this mission rather than the f-22? the f-35 is better at ground attack than the f-22, and im pretty sure the f-35 also has stealth.
