The fact of the matter is that the more recent tech improvements such as mobile phone, social media seems to be causing more isolation than connection. Hopefully people will use the future tech for connection instead of playing candy crush by themselves...

This is a very good analysis of where the tech is at and what we want for the future. We can see that anonymous internet has lead to a breaking of common ground. I hate giving up that anonymity... but at the same time, hope this may give us a better forum to interact in. My other side points out, this is still owned by a tech company that is still grabbing all my personal data to better profit off me.

I can totally get behind the idea of what Cleo wants this gadget to evolve into. Sign me up!! It would be so cool, Im gonna start taking videos of everything I love as much as possible.

I'm very anxious about the kind of future that this will create. I'm picturing something like Wall-E where we're all just fat, useless garbage that sit around having everything curated for us in a digital world. It makes me wonder... what will be the point in life if the digital world overtakes the real world? Are we all just going to be alive to stick our face into a headset and detach from reality?

Yeah, sure, this tech is super cool and amazing and all of that, but what about a hundred years from now when it's not new or cool anymore and it's just a replacement for reality? Idk. Not sure how I feel about this digital future.

I know Apple won't do this because they don't want to undercut their own hardware sales, but if they want to make the price for Vision Pro make sense, they'd include access to a virtual MacBook Pro in AR hosted on their servers. A loaded 16" MacBook Pro will set you back $8,000+ so $3,500 would be a bargain, plus your screen can be any size, you can have any keyboard layout, you don't have to worry about hardware or software crashes since the virtual machine is backed up in the cloud, and it's ultra portable and secure since nobody but you can see the screen or keyboard over your shoulder as you type passwords or other sensitive info unless they to have a Vision Pro and you're sharing your virtual device with them.

Why does the “spend time with children” graph start at 0? Do people have a baby, ignore it immediately for a few years, hangout with them, then ignore them again?
