Sadly u got the title wrong, you should have added best amateur talkie walkie, nothing says amateur more than fixed channels with no key input.The Baofengs are no1 in free countries where talkies are allowed

The best talkie for the money is your cell phone. Emergency? In that case you can legally use a ham radio.

when I see all this trash, it makes me happy I got myself a pair of Retevis RT85 for fifty bucks.

Best thing to do is get GMRS and pay for thr license and be done. As over time they are better built and provide better reception and transmission.

You'd be smart not to open up the radio.
And it's a price of ham radio gear, a technician ham radio license is required for the baofeng.

for example, I mean is there any difference between 410.5 MHz vs 470 MHz??
I'm a mountain climber and I have purchased a uv82. now I want to know which frequency should I use in mountains and forests to achieve the most range? and also which frequency should I use in outdoor(such as deserts) to achieve the most range? or there is no difference between 410 & 433 & 470 MHz at all !??

This video is terrible. A radio like a Baofeng isn't a "walkie talkie". It requires a license to use on most of its frequencies. Someone could easily pick one up and interfere with emergency services all over the world. You may want to consider the misinformation you put out. Even if you use the Baofeng radios on FRS frequencies like most walkie talkies use then you are still breaking the law. The other radios in the video are fine but do not buy a Baofeng to use as a walkie talkie. It could lead to big trouble if you transmit on one with out the proper license and general knowledge to use it correctly. I'm speaking for the US. Not sure of the rules in other places but many countries have similar laws about radio frequencies.

Don't care what anyone says, drop your 'waterproof' radio in water and it will be f**ked.

And as with all rechargeable batteries you need to get the highest mAh possible for longer use. If youve bought cheap rechargeable batteries they're likely to be low mAh so will constantly need charging.

Have you guys actually tested the full range these talkies claim they can do?

These are all low-end, garbage radios. Their only purpose is to talk to another person with the same radio within a very close range. Such as around the house. Basically they are nothing more than overpriced toys.

Do you ever actually test products or just read the spec sheet? Those transmit/receive distances will most likely never be able to achieve 50% of the advertised distances. I would prefer a real evaluation with actual usage.

Motorola T 600 H2O reminds me of 3-in-1 survival radio-lamp-solar-charger, which leads me to the very near question: Are there walky talkies with FM band and photovoltaic cell charge and enough battery capacity as powerbank? That would be a smart outdoor electronic gear.

My Motorola T-465s are all I need. Plus being a Ham operator the Baofeng F8HP is my go to radio instead of my Yaesu FT-65R in extreme conditions. When we say "best", do you really mean "most expensive"?

Understand people that being "water resistant" does not make it "water PROOF".

Note: in the beginning. FM is not a band. It's a mode of operation.VHF is 30 to 300 Mhz. UHF is 300 and up.

Why was the Motorola T 631 discontinued? It has the same specs as the T600 and was manufactured later.

You should say that the Baofeng people need to pass the test to get a Ham Radio license before using it. There are to many people out there using them on frequencies they should not be using it. The FCC is getting after them!

none odf these radios will go farther than a mile I just bought a set of radios with 35 mile range went only 1 mile tested down a flat straight highway 1 mile only

The title is VERY is leading. ALL of the units noted here require a license. Either an Amature (HAM) license or a GMRS license. SO not just "walkie talkies".

Just so people know only FRS is legal to operate without a license. GMRS and HAM will get you a fine since you need a license to use those frequencies. Number 5 is for sure a HAM radio.
