Which Sigma Metalytics PMV is Best for YOU? Original vs. Pro Mini, vs. Pro

I bought the large PRO and never have regretted it at all , since I buy gold also works wonders.

@Silver Dragons If I'm getting started and I could only buy just 1 of the 3, going through a stack as fast as possible to ensure legitimacy what would I have to go with?

Should i test what i buy at a local coin shop?

Gr8 video but less than excited about pimping out your sponsor. Go to the manufacturers site and you can get the same deal that the sponsor is offering it at without the discount. I will always go to the manufacturer or other vendor rather than some sponsor when I can get the same item at the same price without being conned into thinking that I am getting a deal. As I write this I am about to pull the trigger on the original at $999.00 from Sigmas site and pass your sponsor in the dust. One thing I am happy about is that someone is losing money whether its the sponsor through link click through costs or Silver Dragons because of a NO SALE because they felt the need to try and con someone. And yes I know this video is about a year old but 1) the sponsor is still trying to make it seem like they are giving you a deal and 2) SD has a responsibility to update links and content when the so called deals they are touting are no longer available.

can they test hand poured silver and small silver statues?

Anyone tried the Gold Screen Box? German and someone in NZ sells it, but no love in the US of A it seems

If you flip the coin or bar on the onr sensor on the original PMV it should read both sides which would be a deeper read.

I cant help but wonder with that really good "fake" silver eagle, if the weight, thickness and diameter are spot on? Seems with a copper center, one or more of those would be off making it easy to identify as counterfeit. I thinking of the original just to test coins and rounds for tungsten inserts.

Wil they test for 925 sterling coins.

I understand 90% is ok but not sure if it does 925 sterling coin.

How deep on the yellow is expected for a genuine 90% silver coin going to present in the Pro model? Specific gravity might also be a little off.

You said that the original doesn't go all the way through can't I just flip the coin to check it's other side?
Can I calculate the gravity with the original does it give me the actual density so I can calculate it on my own?

Couldn’t you test a kilo bar of gold or silver on the original tester using a scanning wand ? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Good video I only wish that you would have shown visually how that fake coin passed the original tester but failed the specific gravity test on the other machines.

Depending on how well a fake is made, I have seen the Original Sigma PMV not pick up on some fake gold before. I don't know if the other models can also be tricked.

Do you advice to have all the three for the best result?

BTW: the 1.65 resistivity reading for .999 Ag is exactly correct. (.9999 will be 1.57-1.58); focusing on the brackets sometimes is misleading. I printed a metals resistivity chart from the Sigma Metalytics website and then researched and added others so to have a better idea of proper readings (ranges) of varying PM purities. Also understanding how to use the wands properly is essential. No two metals have the same density and resistivity….I have the Pro mini with three wands and it’s working great with raw coins, slabbed coins, 100g gold bars etc. The only extra equipment I use is a small scale.
