Verhoeven is and was the only one who COULD make Robocop work, the following movies, including the 2014 one proves that beyond a doubt. Love his movies, love his humour. For some reason, in my city this movie ran only a single week in the movies and I never got to see it there, also, the first video released was heavily, and I mean HEAVILY censored.

I agree that the movie is way better than the title.

In a constant attempt to escape the horrors of the modern world I watch loads of videos like this.

This is the one of the worst movies ever made.

"A product of the Reagan era" REALLY? Who about the public having the spare cash to spend on your movie and merchandise! Don't act like capitalism is beneath you, the parasite off it like any corporation. The Reagan era was a time of global prosperity if you worked hard. Socialists make me chuckle, they really do.

Great movie! I'll bet the execs that turned it down are shaking their heads today. RoboCop is a cult classic and will still beat the crap they pull out today.

What funny is that this movie even worth rewatching for the the small dystopian TV advertisements alone. Those are getting uncomfortably close to reality.

A movie that should have aged badly and turned into vinegar but unfortunately for us it turns out that it aged too well and instead matured into a fine wine. The movie is possibly more relevant today that it could have ever been in the Reagan Era.

Once in a while, a film gets everything it needs to be truly iconic and memorable, great script, inspired director, awesome camera crew and a bunch of actors that, once you watch the movie, you can't imagine anyone else in any of the roles...

I remember as a kid seeing the poster out side a theatre and being blown away by it, ovbusaly being too young to go see it, but when I did finally see it on VHS years later wow. Would have loved to see it for the first time on the big screen.

This is my childhood movie. I was 8 yrs old when this was released and I remember walking by a theater and saw the poster. OMG that image was burned into my brain. My mom said “keep walking”. I saw it after it was released and man it did not disappoint I tell you. Part 2 was really good also
