This is how the men in my family were. You hit a female, or a child, they were going to pay you a visit, and if they were being nice, you'd only go to the ER. My biological father was Italian, but the man who married my Momma, adopted me, and raised me was Irish and Ukrainian, and I was the dandy darling of my Daddy's family, because of my red hair, pale skin, and blue eyes, plus my Daddy told his family that I was his adopted, or not, and if they rejected me, then he didn't have a family anymore, that my Momma and I were his family. First time a guy ever laid a hand on me, I was 17-18 years old, and my Daddy made him wish that he hadn't. The guy's First Sargent, and Captain told that guy to stay far away from me, because my Daddy would kill him next time, and that you could see it in his eyes. I was young, thought that I was in love, ignored all the red flags, and when I finally wised up, and broke up with this guy, he beat my face in, and when my Daddy saw my face, and me crying, it was on like Donkey Kong. The other time my Daddy went for a guy, I was 15, and I had told a guy that I had very briefly dated, that I didn't want to see him anymore, because he made me nervous, and he didn't like hearing that. I was alone one night, on the phone with a couple of guys that wanted to go out with me, and my Daddy was visiting my Momma in the hospital. The doorbell rang, and there was a knock on the door, and I thought that it was my best friend, because she said that she might come over, and I opened up the door, and it was the guy who gave me the creeps. He started asking me why I wouldn't go out with him anymore, and he was demanding that I gave him another chance, and I kept telling him no, and told leave my house, and the guys that I had on the phone were listening, and kept asking me if I was okay, then they heard me scream, and telling them to get my Daddy, because the creeper had grabbed my left breast so hard, and twisted it, and it made me scream. One guy stayed on the phone, and kept talking to me, because the creeper had hidden somewhere in my parents house, and I wasn't going to look for him, and I knew that by the time I got to the front door, he could've caught me, so I stayed in the kitchen, and I grabbed one of my Momma's knives for protection. I kept talking to one guy, and the other guy went to the hospital, and told my Daddy what was going on, and he said that my Daddy was up,and out of my Momma's room like he was on fire, and he told her that I might be in danger, and she yelled at him to go,and save me. When I saw my Daddy come through the door, I was so happy, and I ran to him crying, and I showed him what was turning into a brusie on my chest, and he had blood in his eyes. He went to the back of our house, and chased the guy out, and then he told me to get in the car, and we drove to the guy's barracks, and my Daddy demanded to speak to the First Sargent. The First Sargent tried to tell my Daddy that I had led the guy on, and that I was getting payback, and my Daddy put him up against a wall, and told him that I was a young, beautiful, 15 year old girl, and that yes I flirted like any other young girl would, but that didn't mean that I should've been scared to be in my own home, because some lunatic couldn't take no for an answer, and I also didn't deserve to be hurt either and he had me show the First Sargent where I was getting a bruise. When the creeper came in, the other guys told him to go into the room where we were, and when he saw my Daddy, he tried to turn around, and my Daddy grabbed him. My Daddy told him that he better remember that he was a Vietnam Vet, and he could have some serious problems, especially when some asshole had attacked his daughter and terrorized her. He then picked up a pool ball, and threw it at the guy's head, and went passed him, and my Daddy told him that next time he wouldn't miss, that was just a warning. The First Sargent told the creeper to pay attention, because my Daddy meant every word he said. That he had messed with the wrong man's daughter. On three Military bases it was known not to mess with me, or you'll get my Daddy, and I use to tell him that I was never going to get married, because guys were afraid of him, and we'd laugh. I did get married, and I had a beautiful baby girl, and my Daddy protected all of us, and he taught me how to protect myself too. I miss him so much now that he's gone.

Sonny was one of the best characters in the film. They killed him off way too early.

The messed up part for me is the fact she won't leave him after this and sonny's beating of Carlo just made it worse the next time he beats conney...no matter how much you beat an abuser unless the woman leaves the man it'll happen again cause that's how abusers are there repeat offenders

James Caan is a harshly underrated actor yet his superb performance makes pacino look like a novice and fake

Godfather had some amazing yet underrated actors like James Caan, Andy Garcia and Joe Mantegna but we're given short onscreen time

I love how Sonny's rage and violent intent has taken over him so much to where he just gets creative in this beat down that he goes for biting his hand and then back to roughing him up. Fucking savage.

When Sonny bites his hand, that meant trouble for Carlo. He was gonna get a serious ass whooping.

The reason White gangs are revered whilst black gangs are hated is because there aren't innocent bystanders with the Whites. Whites will be careful and calculated about the people they want to kill and they'll keep it quiet and you'll never know about it. Blacks will shoot up an entire neighborhood in the hopes of hitting one person and they don't care about how many kids they kill in the process.

I unfortunately went through the same kind of thing with my sister. I had no idea it was happening until she asked me to go back to hers after I had been on a night out with my mates. He was a bouncer and much bigger than me. But I just fealt so much rage chased him all the way down her street. Utter scum.

When he bit his knuckle after seeing her face, I felt that in my soul. That’s a different level of anger.

This woman showed men why they shouldnt waste their lives fighting for these females. She even held a grudge against her younger brother for avenging the death of sonny by killing her husband. They should of let him take her soul. It was worthless anyway

Sonny didn’t get to kill him but Michael got the job done.
