REX used to include a department store (thương xá Rex) and a large movie theater, if my memory serves.

There used to be 2 pastry shops on both sides in front of the (Central) Post Office. They were very well-known then. One is called Bánh Mì Bưu Điện, but I forgot the other one's name. It does not look like the shops are still there.

Before classes start in the morning, my favorite breakfast was bún thịt nướng. My dinner is usually Cơm tấm or the omnipresent phở. Oh how I miss those days!!!
