Well that’s a bit of a surprise that it’s a noticeable difference in air consumption than say the DV1S or the Prolite S , I’ve come to really like the Sagola guns

Hey Pete, the Sagola certainly put the basecoat down very well mate it looks nice a smooth, Sagola do make some good quality guns but was very surprised to hear that this mini gun uses so much air, not sure why Sagola has done this as every other mini gun doesn't use that much so is ideal for the home user so I think Sagola will struggle to sell these to the home user 🤔

I've always liked Sagola as they seem to be well made but since the takeover Sagola seem to have shot themselves in the foot and as far as I know you can only get them brand new from Sagola (apart from ebay) in the UK, most of the suppliers I know that were stocking them no longer do so, what with the prices going up and them being hard to get if this is true then Sagola are not doing themselves any favours 🤷‍♂️👍

Normally if a gun uses twice as much air as you would expect it's because it's a true hvlp one.

Hi Pete
Out of interest what is in the spray bottle for the panel wipe.
I prefer House of Kolor KC20
But Jawel Paints haven’t had any for a year now.”Not impressive to say they are the default importer”.
Tried to get some waterbased degreaser from Screwfix but alas they are out of stock too…
Next option Upol S2000/5.Expensive.
If all fails 50% isopropynol/50% water.
What are you using?
Cheers

Hear what you are saying about their mini gun.
I have two Satajet 4’s.
A 1.2 & 1.0.
Both guns use less than 5cfm, maybe much less & never had a problem with catching the fan control on either of them.
They are excellent in every way & ideal for someone with limited air supply..

If you would like to borrow one for a review, no problem.
Don’t think they have the same fan issue as the newer one.

Great video Pete, I get the impression that this Sagola gun didn’t totally meet your expectations especially with the air side of things. Seems to perform quite well though, like you say very limiting for those of us with smaller/lower CFM compressors. Cheers Pete.

I am the owner of the aqua model and I do not have the EPA model and always comparing photos on the internet I think they are the same. But I sometimes think it's possible that the center cap hole in the EPA model was slightly larger versus Aqua?
Both caps have an internal air shutter. Are the same?
What would be the intention of making two identical caps and selling different names?
I really admire that you analyze the products very well and are not just a product magazine.

Greetings Pete;

Great review as always; I have been using the Mini for almost 2 years and find he results to be very good; My understanding is that the Mini Xtreme is a HVLP gun and not LVLP gun and hence it's designed to use more air then other mini guns that are based on the LVLP design; Sagola's website states the consumption per cap as follows; Mini EPA / AQUA = 190 L/Min, Mini HVLP = 325 L/Min, Mini TECH = 52 L/Min, comparing this to the LPH-80 (stated consumption is 50-60L/Min) the Mini Xtreme is a monster, also note that Sagola states that the AQUA cap is Waterborne paint specific cap and the EPA can be used with both waterborne and solvent based paints. Yet again, a great review, looking forward to the next one. Many thanks.

good video. Im looking at one of these now to go with my 4600 xtreme. What fluid tip should I choose? It won't be used all that much really but I would like to be able to do basically anything with it from solvent based metallic to hs clear.
