BREAKING: Amazon Fee Increases To Crush UK Sellers from 1st February 2025 (Amazon FBA UK)

Amazon FBA UK sellers will get CRUSHED by these new Amazon FEE increases that have just been announced. From 1st February 2025, Amazon is increasing almost all of its fees at above inflation rates. To make matters worse, Amazon is not being upfront about these fee increases and is using misleading wording in its announcement.

Amazon fees will increase in 2025 for almost everything except a couple of fulfilment tiers. These include storage fees, return process fees, return to seller feeds, disposal fees, prep fees, and more.

The only fees that are coming down slightly are the fulfilment fees for standard and oversized products, however, the introduction of new envelope size tiers means many smaller products will now have higher fulfilment fees.

Amazon FBA fees for selling on Amazon in 2025 will be more expensive than ever before.

Here is a summary of the official announcement. Note that they don't use the word "increase" to describe fees going up. Instead, they use words such as "simplify, adjust, update, and create" to obfuscate what is really happening.

"As we reflect on 2024 and look ahead to 2025, we want to start by thanking you for your partnership and the tremendous innovation and customer benefit that we have delivered together.

In 2025, we want to focus on simplifying our rates and lowering your costs, while continuing to work together to delight customers and drive growth for your business.

While inflation continues to impact our expenses, we have continued to make significant progress in lowering our costs to serve by driving innovation, improving efficiency, and removing defects.

As a result, we will not increase or will lower FBA fulfilment fees for parcels, and we will lower the minimum referral fee for special oversize items. We will also provide additional benefits to support new selection growth.

FBA fulfilment fee and tier changes, effective February 1, 2025

• We will lower the average FBA fulfilment fees for parcel and oversize tiers in our United Kingdom
• We will simplify our oversize rates by reducing product tier weight-size bands from 28 to 17, and introducing a base rate with incremental per kg flat rates.
• We will adjust FBA fulfilment fees for envelopes and low-price FBA in our United Kingdom
• We will create a new small envelope size tier based on weight to reduce variation and make fees more predictable.

Other fee changes, effective February 1, 2025

• We will lower the minimum referral fee for heavy non-sortable items sold through FBA from £25/€25 to £20/€20.
• We will make updates to better align fees with our operational costs for the monthly storage fee, storage utilisation surcharge, low-inventory cost coverage (Pan-EU) fee, Pan-EU FBA oversize surcharge, preparation fees, and return-to-seller order, disposal and liquidation processing fees across all our stores in Europe.
• We will extend the aged inventory surcharge to inventory stored between 241 and 270 days across all our stores in Europe.
• We will delay the introduction of the returns processing fee for high-return-rate products to February 1, 2025."
