2024 Subaru Forester Wilderness: The Go Anywhere Subaru!

Looking at getting one in the next month or two, after my VIP kicks in!!

My naturally aspirated 6cyl 4WD pickup is quicker than my Forester

For the extra money that you spend on the Wilderness pkg, how often do people actually take their vehicles off road?

You’ll need to Wax the wheels on the Wilderness because they scratch very easily.

I Love my Forester Touring.
It’s a 2019 with only 14K miles.
The saddle Brown Leather interior is very comfortable and I’ve had a Lot of compliments on it.
I HATE the CVT as it robs the Gutless 182hp engine of the horsepower, torque and mpg.
Even though is gets better city mpg than my last vehicle, it gets about the same mileage on the freeway.
My last car was a 11 Rav 4WD Limited with the 269hp 3.5 V6 and a 5spd geared automatic transmission.
The Only reason why I sold my low mileage RAV was to get better mileage, but I was wrong.
The redesigned Forester will be offered with the Rav hybrid system, so in 27-28 I’ll sell my current Forester and buy the new Forester Touring Hybrid.
The Forester hybrid is supposed to have around 200hp and get 38-40mpg.
I looked at a new Rav hybrid Limited before buying my Forester but the Rav was subpar in quality, fit and finish and the engine and road noise was loud.
I do have to admit that the Forester is superior in traction.
Every fall I had to put studded snow tires on my Rav as we get 5-7 feet of snow every winter. I had to replace the factory tires on my Forester as they were leaking air from the sidewalls.
I replaced the tires with Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires.
They’re Awesome on dry, wet, slushy, snowy, logging and forest roads.
We like them so much that when my wife’s Outback needed new tires, we put a set of the Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires on her car as well.
The 24 Forester lost 2hp, so it’s down to a measly 180, but it gained 2 more pound feet of torque.

Does it have a passenger power seat

The mirrors power fold in?? I don’t think so

People used to hate the crab claw tail lights - I think they’ve aged well.

I freaking LOVE the newer Subaru's. I have a 2018 Crosstrek Touring that is the easiest to drive and park vehicle I have ever had. The ONE thing that I do not like about it and the new Subaru's is that the dashboard/gauges are exactly the same as in my 2018 Crosstrek. I mean yes they are functional and could be worse but it is the same now very outdated design. The 11 inch LCD screen is well too big. It gets in the way of controls that are lower down. Why are the seat heating controls placed low in between the seats anyways? Gotta take my eyes totally off the road to use them.

Okay that is all the negatives I have about it. I REALLY want to get a new full spec Outback. I have two cars that are in perfect condition thus I really do not NEED to have a new Subaru I just really want one. The All Wheel Drive system is in my opinion the BEST AWD system sold today. The Forrester here is hot as well. The CVT in my Crosstrek works perfectly fine. Took a small amount of time to get used to but I did. If I had the money I would gladly buy the entire Subaru line up.

Hoping that black headliner will grow on me. Otherwise, I'm totally loving it! (I rented a 2022 FW through Turo for 3 days to really check it out before buying. I knew about the CD player, but the black headliner took me by surprise when I picked up my 2024.)

I'd be curious to see whats different in the Outback Wilderness. I wanna say they have a bigger screen for the radio

I like the forester this trim looks good but I rather have all one color accent no give me all black on black interior and exterior. When will Subaru bring back a small pickup truck like the brat it’d be cool
