I've only ever watched Hachiko once (because i ugly cried that one time I watched it - AT A SCHOOL MOVIE SCREENING - I cannot breath properly) but its so memorable that it stayed with me even to this day. I cried just now while watching this.

They could've made this film with the ethnicities of the original people. I guess Hollywood's just extremely racist.

I saw this movie for the first time in middle school a couple of years after it came out and I remember being so embarrassed because I cried in front of all my friends it was such a sad but good movie😭

As an Akita owner this scene absolutely devastates me every time because I know what they are like - they are not like other dogs and they are not for everyone and every situation but the sort of bond you can have with this breed goes beyond words. I dread the day my boy dies because I'll be absolutely devastated

As an ex Muslim who easily left Islam over my love for dogs, I still don’t understand how people can remain Muslims with the hate their religion feeds them over the most sweetest companions the earth has ever seen 😢. Can’t wait til Gaza is blown to bits.

I just had to watch "Hachi" again. You will cry so get some kleenex ready. It's my favorite Richard Gere movie. All of the acting was wonderful and the dogs were great. The puppy and the adults dogs were such beautiful Akitas. I have to watch it every few .k the. It's based on an Akita that waited at the railroad station at 5:00pm everyday for 9 yrs. after he died. There is a famous statue of him at the railroad station. It's a story about loyalty and love.

Honestly if it were me i would have brought Hachi to Parker's grave so he can get some closure cause since dogs can spell way better than humans maybe Hachi would have smelled Parker in the ground.

I Lost my best friend katana a few months ago she was one of they most loyal dogs ever she past away in late or early may or june write before I finished my freshman year of high school so I came home from school and I saw my mom outside and katana and then told she was not feeling well and I want to see her but I was not able to so I called her and she did not respond and then she passed away I'm still going to miss her very much and then I don't know how many days or weeks it's been but I have a picture to always remember her she would hind me and you know Rest In Peace Katana I love you and will remember you
