My humble opinion is that most of the tops you chose in colours close to the recommended ones were either too light or too dark (the grey was too light, the green jumper way too dark). The green velvet top you wore at the end was spot on! And don’t worry too much about the colours from the waist down. An in–person analysis also takes your personality into account so that might be a really good idea. Maybe try to find someone who doesn’t (exclusively) use the seasonal analysis. The Open Wardrobe approach seems good in that regard but ofc it’s not very in–depth.
ОтветитьFirst off I love your videos and personality but that being said our styles are so different, I am a plain dresser and never experiment with styles like you do. In your previous outfit videos I love to see you have fun trying new new things but I don’t always think they go but I chalk it up to having different styles but TODAY, I felt, every outfit looked amazing and just went. I loved every outfit you tried.
I really hope my comment reads complimentary and not rude, because I really do enjoy all of your videos
Several items came to mind watching - 1 - I hope you had fun and enjoy the information! 2 - I love color analysis for informing purchases bc there are so many things we are tempted to buy, this is one way for me to have excuses not to shop 3 - there are great stylists talking about decolonizing the ideas of ‘flattering’ and sometimes wearing ‘not your colors’ is The Look and knowing the rules can help one intentionally break them. I can’t wait to see what you do next! Also, the colors only matter around your face so your black shoes are safe ;)
ОтветитьOh. The turtleneck with the 70s style Levis looked SO GOOD! And that green velvet top on you was gorgeous.
ОтветитьI would definitely try taking a pic in the sunlight and see if it gives you different results. I'm dubious on the usefulness of color analysis in general so maybe I'm biased, but I really feel like it did you dirty here lol. You look gorgeous in everything, and I'm happy if it gives you some more style ideas, but you look so good in your bright reds and deep blacks! Maybe I just feel like those colors suit your personality better lol. Great video!
ОтветитьMy initial reaction was tha analysis is wrong, but you do look so much more organic in the suggested pallet. Bright looks good on you, but kinda takes attention away from your face
ОтветитьSo is she a summer or a winter now? I 'm confused.
ОтветитьThe jazz background...no like.
ОтветитьYou can honestly pull off everything! If I had to guess I would've said you're a light spring. Even though I agree with the app that you're more muted than bright, I think warmer tones suit you better than cooler ones and light suits you better than dark
ОтветитьI think color analysis is SO subjective because what looks best is based on opinion. Personally, I think the lighting in the pic you sent kind of skews your results. As someone who is genuinely muted neutral (because I’m fair olive), I think you’re a total spring. I think you nailed it when you were talking about how other colors aren’t bad it just changes your impact.
EDIT: maybe you are muted??? I’m looking at all your thumb nails and I think you might be olive too? Olives notoriously don’t fit color seasons, but tend to fall under muted depths.
You made some cool pairings here, non-obvious outfits.
Ответитьoutfit number 3 is my favorite outfit you've ever styled!!
ОтветитьLoved this video! Saved to favorites! That makeup so so flattering on you! And great outfits, excited to see more outfits without so much black!
ОтветитьThat green cardigan with the grey trousers looks really good on you! I think you really nailed the "softness" aspect with that outfit, and it makes you look put together and cohesive.
ОтветитьColor analysis applies mainly to pieces that you wear close to your face. You don't have to mind color directions when it comes to shoes.
ОтветитьI would love for someone to tell me what colours suit me cause I feel like I’ve no idea 🙈
Ответитьi've been so curious about the colour analysis service on openwardrobe, cool to see that it's quite in depth and gave you lots of suggestions :) it was fun to see side by side comparisons of the colours, i do think soft colours suit you a lot especially the lighter grey compared to black! i noticed it on myself too but still love wearing black, usually just further away from my face like square necklines or unbuttoned cardigans💕
ОтветитьObsessed with the plaid skirt/Harley shirt fit
ОтветитьI think our brains register the checkered black and white skirt as grey, because black and white are so close together. So I think a white blouse has the right contrast. Its not contrasting just with the black in the skirt, but with the both colors.
ОтветитьThey listed "others notice your clothes before they see your face" as a negative, and I don't really think it's a bad thing. It's more like what you're ainimg for with your look. If you want to put an empahsis on your outfit, a contrasting look might make people focus on that more. If you want your features to be the main focus, then softer and more harmonious colors might be better.
I generally get the point of color analysis, but I've alwasy been super against the whole "do this, not that" mentality that goes with it. Different colors do have different effects on the way you look, but I don't necessarily think one is better than the other for all people. It all depends on what you're trying to convey with your image. For example, looking pale might be a big no for some people, but others would actually want to acheive a paler look. So the first group would go for tones that make them look less pale, and the second- for ones that do emphasize paleness. Or as I said earlier, maybe you DO want the main focus point to be your outfit instead of your facial features.
And then there's the whole debate around personal preference. For me, I've always prefered to wear colors that FEEL like me and match my personal vibe, rather than ones that just flatter my outside appearance. I see fashion as a reflection of your inner self. Something that's uniquely yours you're showing to the world. Now someone else might think of it more as a tool to accentuate the features they have. And that's totally valid, I think that's the group that would benefit the most from these color analysis type of services. It just comes down to what your personal wants and needs are. I do wish, however, that the whole thing was done in a less judgemental way, and more in a "this color has this effect, that color has that effect, feel free to choose what works for you" type of way.
Beepworld has a great video on this topic that I highly recommend.
I tried the analysis and got the exact same result as you. Personally I think it's wrong for me (I don't like or wear any of the colors it recommends), but I think it's spot on for you!
ОтветитьIf anyone would like extra help figuring out their style/ wardrobe I also recommend Kiana Bonollo's video where she made her sewing mood board for 2023. She goes over finding fabrics you like the feel of as well as color palettes and silhouettes and while its intended for sewing I've been using for all aspects of my wardrobe and even started making my own style mood board and it has mad my hobbies (sewing, embroidery, crochet) and my clothes shopping so much easier to manage and so much less overwhelming.
Ответитьyou're so pretty i love your eyes!
ОтветитьI didn't like the first outfit - the jacket was a bit big for you and seemed to drown your petite body. Maybe you could try a more fitted jacket?
ОтветитьI loooovveeed the outfit with the green jacket and grey pants. Everything fit you nicely and gave a lovely hourglass shape.
ОтветитьI WAS WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO FOR 4 YEARS OF ME WATCHING YOU 🩷
ОтветитьLoved the green shirt and gray slacks
ОтветитьI feel like incorporating more muted/in-between tones in your wardrobe (and moving away from overdoing white and black) is going to have an impact on how you put together outfits and what you pair together! I am soooo excited to see what you create going forward AND I support the search for more warm toned shoes :)
ОтветитьI've done this twice with this app and both times came back clear. In color analysis that would put me as a Winter or Spring. I was draped in person, twice, by HOC and TCI and was draped a True Autumn both times. Open Wardrobe told me muted, earthy tones were not my best tones. Turns out they were way off!
ОтветитьThese all look so good! Honestly my favorite is the first dress with blazer look
ОтветитьThe colors look very black & white on camera, couldn't tell them unless you said the color
Ответить😊
ОтветитьOmggg you look amazing in all the fits!!!
ОтветитьDoes anyone know where she got the taylor swift t shirt?
ОтветитьI’ve always thought that if it’s so subtle that you need to hire someone or use a service, it probably doesn’t make that much of a difference in your daily life lol
ОтветитьI hate asking where people got things from. But I've been dying to find blue jeans exactly like those. And he probably Thrifted them, but where are they from?
ОтветитьI think all outfits looked good on you, except the oversized black tee with the plaid skirt. It was too much black and too much fabric, it swallowed you. You can pull of more contrast than is in your recommendations, because you are tanned and wear makeup. Your regular wardrobe suits you also well!
ОтветитьI am sorry but I can't look at your T-shirt, it makes me vomit. Please don't ever wear that in a video again.
ОтветитьIdk. With the 2 white tones I really saw the difference, that the not so white white 😅looked better. But then I thout red and black suited you better than purple and grey 🤷🏻♀️😅
ОтветитьYou look like a Clear Spring 🌸
Ответитьi soooo disagree you look GORG in anything but muted washes out your beautiful features!! youre so a spring - those strong warm pops of color are perfect for you! maybe its just because it wasnt in person so the lighting was different
ОтветитьOne of my fave color combos is navy blue and rust. I’ve gravitated toward navy blue as I got older as an alternative to black. I also love charcoal gray. When I wear black, I feel so washed out. A classic black turtleneck is always in style and always complimentary though IMO.
ОтветитьWhy didn't they give her the name of her season? Is it soft summer? Looks like it.
ОтветитьI don't care for color analysis...I'd actually love for people to notice my clothes before they notice my face...My clothes do look a lot prettier
ОтветитьI'm a soft summer and I'm a goth LOL. I wouldn't take it too seriously. Just wear what makes you happy!
Ответитьcolor analysis is kinda a load of BS , i wouldn’t take it too seriously. but it can be a fun tool to help you find new color combos and whatnot :)
ОтветитьI'm confused, did she say what she was? I didn't see her say the actual season she is?
ОтветитьI think the picture you uploaded on the app had a slightly cool lighting (it's most always the case if you took it near a window) and that influenced the result you got. I don't think softness (muted) is your dominant feature, maybe it's a secondary characteristic for you but I'd say lightness comes first. Also the app didn't tell you if you lean more cool or warm and that's so important, I don't know how they could let that out. Almost any season has a soft version to it but soft summer is very different to soft spring or soft autumn, you're mostly wearing soft summer colors (medium/light, muted, low contrast, cool temperature) in the video and in my opinion you're slightly warm, so maybe soft spring would have worked much better
ОтветитьI don't think this is accurate ...i think you are a warm summer in my opinion. Definately a summer.
