Love the comment about slow printers having stronger layers....slow down the CoreXY and you get the same effect....

ОтветитьFYI my X-Plus has never needed to have glue used and I'm guessing this printer has as good of plate? As well, I really do not like that one has to open the front door to print as I use a Web camera that is mounted on swing down mount on the front. As well in this video he did not install the rubber feet on this printer and why you see so much shacking. heh

Thanks for the video on this v 2.0 of this printer. Mine is in transit and I cannot wait. We really need to give Qidi credit for listening to their beta testers and fixing the issues, including replacing those rods with stainless. I almost cancelled my pre-order after seeing that sticker saying the carbon fiber ones cannot be replaced. I think printers such as this need to be treated more as a tool and not a hobby. If you want to mod, build a Voron. Personally my hobby is making and the 3D printer is just another tool for me. I want it to work as reliably as my cordless drill. Going from a creality bed slinger to this, I am really looking forward to just having it work without constant adjusting and trouble shooting.

Interesting video. May want to work on your mic setup. Went from too much gain, but proper placement to lower gain but poor placement. Have to watch more to see if it gets better...
Ответить"Hell of a lot of plastic on this." OK, you said that like 10 times. But you never really explained that the plastic is not structural. The FRAME is all metal. The plastic parts are the door, the roof piece, and the cosmetic pieces on the outside of the enclosure. You want these to be plastic to keep costs down and keep the weight reasonable. It looks like in 'version 2' of the X-MAX 3 (and the smaller X-Plus 3) Midi fixed most of the big complaints that DOOMED the earlier versions of these two printers. Still some shortcomings? Sure, but overall a pretty high-value package for a large workspace fast printer. I definitely would not want a printer with carbon fiber axis rods. So happy to accept the heavier, but more durable hollow steel guide rods.
