Awesome set Patrick and the sound is really great. An interesting note … I played with Rivers band Avant Garde in 1989 at M.I. In Hollywood. I have to admit the style they were playing wasn’t completely my thing and after that year at M.I. I went back to Wisconsin and not long after I saw the Weezer CD come out and i was like excited and a little bummed. Imagine the sound that was played when the kid on bozos circus missed the bucket. That was me lol. For the last 3 years i have been building my ultimate set DW collectors and all Meinl Byzance but I love all drums and i really love the K Sweet ( had to buy one and sneak it onto my set ). Say hi to Rivers though he probably wont remember me. I designed his Avante Garde logo for Metal edge and the ZOOM logo he may remember that. Lol Been a big fan of Weezer since the first album :)

One day one of these videos will have a drummer that knows their kit inside out. When you see these drummers with full custom kits and endorsement and they have to hold and look at the name/size of the cymbal or when they go ''i think'' after giving a spec of a drum, kind of makes you think if they deserve them or not.

Pat the type of guy to review drums as though they were a car.

I'm surprised the interviewer didn't immediately tell him he was talking about El Estepario. (I assume that's who Pat meant.)

What a great set up! Very cool to see up close his equipment and all the moving pieces. Pat is my all time favourite drummer, so talented and humble. I got to meet him once after a concert and he was so kind and talked with everyone. He's a treasure!

I caught their San Francisco performance of their Voyage to the Blue Planet tour and it was incredible. Easily of my favorite concerts I have ever seen.
