Being curious i had to replay FW times to get the wording lyrics to this song🎉
ОтветитьRecall the genre+era was crazy then it's a classic in its own feat😊
ОтветитьThat is actually a magical incantation chant...
ОтветитьThe music's great, of course, but I think I also reacted to the tongue-in-cheek nature of the early HL lyrics, which separated them out from more po-faced synth bands and artists (who I like equally, but differently!). The songs sound serious, but they also amuse, and there's a freedom and originality of form and theme to them that's impressive. References to such diverse things as sericulture, Steve McGarrett, wanting to be The Pyramids, a record swallowing all record shops, a drug known as Dominion, etc. I had a similar reaction to the Stranglers' post-punk melodic era lyrics, that similarly managed to perfectly fit eclectic wording into great music. Very memorable words and phrases used (still easily recalled decades later), offbeat, poetic, and thought-provoking.
ОтветитьThey were super cool back then
ОтветитьAdelantado para esa época ¡¡
Ответитьheard this from lollipop chainsaw
ОтветитьThis song WILL get into your head
ОтветитьStill makes the hair on my neck stand up when that sweep kicks in
ОтветитьFabulous song. I remember dancing to it in Heroes club in Sunderland when I was 19, followed by Planet Earth, Planet Claire, Hong Kong Garden, and Tainted Love.
ОтветитьDas war ihre beeindruckensde Zeit. Und diese ist zeitlos. Ich damals 18 heute 62. Welche Musiker schreibt heute Stücke die in 40 Jahren noch gehört werden.
ОтветитьClassic, thank you for my youth...
ОтветитьRegret that Martyn and Ian left the band. The third album could be as good as "Dare" (under Martin Rushent production too).
ОтветитьThis song got engrave into mind while trying to obtain No Fear Of Heights trophy for Lollipop Chainsaw. What a banger!! ❤🔥❤🔥
Ответить✨
ОтветитьHeard this song for the first time when Bono used it as the intro to his Stories of Surrender shows in 2022 & 2023. Kind of a hilarious self-own, as he's 5' 6½"
ОтветитьOnly just discovered the creators of this song after hearing it for decades. I always thought the lyrics were talk talk talk
ОтветитьDig the crazy camera work!!!! Cor Blimey, 1979 and the 80's were about to be unleashed on the world, brilliant!!
ОтветитьStill a classic after all these years. x
ОтветитьEPIC, JUST FUCKIN EPIC!

ОтветитьIf Daft Punk Had a baby With Death Grips And aphex Twin
ОтветитьI love both incarnations of the League
ОтветитьForgot just how good this song was. Instantly transported back to Bogart’s in Darwen in 1982
ОтветитьProper Human League
ОтветитьI'm 49 years old. I was seeing Bono's Surrender show in NYC and this song played before he came out. I absolutely love it and can't stop playing it
ОтветитьAmazing and groundbreaking track....should have been a smash hit.
ОтветитьEternal fabulousness ❤ ❤ ❤
ОтветитьThat's one hell of an infectious chorus!
Ответить"Fetch more sand. Biggest person in the land..."
ОтветитьStunningly Magnificent ❤️
Ответитьgracias lolipop por enseñarme trmndo tmaso❤️
ОтветитьHuman league still one of the most severely underrated bands of Modern Ages
Ответить(INTENSE FLASHBACKS OF THAT ONE GODDAMN MINIGAME)
ОтветитьI'm out there raising this song's profile all by myself by linking it at every opportunity.
ОтветитьIt's like Georges Gurdjeff reincarnation😀👍
ОтветитьYou'll all be delighted to know that this is featured in a particularly difficult section of "Lollipop Chainsaw" and that's what brought me here.
ОтветитьROCK ALT⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🎶
ОтветитьSuch a huge fan of the early stuff like the dignity of labour e.p and reproduction. So many great records from them in the early days. They were kinda ahead of their time really so people struggled to understand what they were doing back then. I loved kraftwerk and Moroder so for me they were a logical step in the right direction. I would love to see an original line up tour.
ОтветитьMy favorite The Human League song .................. greetings of Perú ...
ОтветитьA huge influence for me. It sounds incredible. I still hear this being played in clubs as it has one hell of a synth bassline. So catchy.
ОтветитьWe danced to this at the Coatbridge hotel disco. Never got tired of it.
ОтветитьApplause from Argentina 👍✨
ОтветитьE-N-E-R-G-Y ! ! !👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьI’ve been listening to this for years since Lollipop Chainsaw came out.
ОтветитьI envy anyone who was lucky enough to see the early Human League live. There are a few decent audio bootlegs (I especially like their sparse version of 'Perfect Day'), but it must have been great to have been there, hearing it in person and with the slide projections and lighting.
ОтветитьPlot twist: he's actually a wall in a junior high school boy's room.
