I'm 6'4" and got the high handlebar and telescopic seatpost. I'm quite shocked at how pleasant it is to ride! I got a C-Line 6-speed, and swapped to the 44t chain ring for better hill climbing and it is absolute perfection. I expected it to be OK, but it's really quite excellent. I am pleased.

The best is to get the S line as you can always add a 2 inch riser bar and convert it to being M height with better handling as the riser bar is only 2 inches rather then 5

Hi, so I’m 4’11 and I can’t test out an S bar where I live, they don’t have them in stock. I tried the M and I’m upright but not “bolt upright” which I’m guessing means not a bend whatsoever.
Just wondering have you fitted a Brompton for someone as short as me? What would you recommend? Thanks

I am 5 feet and I ADORE my Brompton. It’s the first bike that I can set to my exact size and ride it comfortably at all times. Before the Brommie, all bikes felt simply too large for me even when I picked the smallest frame available. With the Brompton I feel secure and confident, and I feel in control of the bike at all times. This has encouraged me to go out on the streets and ride for longer distances within my city. Zipping through traffic easily. That would’ve been unthinkable with my Mountain Bike.

I'm 184 cm and my SuperlightM6LXBrompton became delivered with a Scandinavian Standard, long seat post and too long for my black B&W transport box. I asked Brompton and was recommended a telescope post, but on the other hand is very heavy! So for now I use a black titanium standard length, 535 mm seat post, which is too short, but I may just pull it out in full. On the other hand my bike, with mudguards now weigh 9,35 kilo, and still with some easy ways to make it even lighter 😄. Finn. Denmark

This has been absolutely fascinating.
I'm 6'7 and I seriously did not think it would be possible for me to ride a Brompton without looking like I was doing a Krusty The Clown impersonation!
Definitely food for thought..... 🤔

So you're saying you can only be bolt upright on a Brompton if you're only 5ft?
That's not good!
