What about a flying creature, doesn't need to be a bird. That spawns in some shallow areas around the map. If you have a seamoth it will attack it or if your on the surface or above 50m in the zone it lives in it will swoop down and try to kill you. Can be a bird but maybe some species of mammal or amphibian developed like this. Would be cool instead of thinking a far shallow zone (not spawn point) that youre free of all dangers. I would probably put only about 3 in the map as they eat alot of karar because you see alot of dumb weak creatures with it. and encounters are scarce but you can sometimes see them in the distance flying. Neat

Pinnicarid reminds me of the anomolocaris, which is an ancient sea creature that lived in the Cambrian period.

"Skybase creature" that would be amazing, imagine that, just stabbing it or something to get it in the air

I'm guessing the penguins are gonna be the stalkers and the shark thing will be the bone sharks

If their was to be a creature that steals batteries, that grabsquid is the way too go

There should be a huge creature that’s like a km long or less. It could be like a whale and a shark and it could breach the ice and flop onto the land when it chases you. It would be a carnivore and It would have a ton of health but would just ram you unless you get infront if it were it will open it’s huge mouth and it’s just darkness and you get eaten

A. Would be like super common around the artic, you will always see these most of the time
B.Not much rare but not much common as A
C. Rare
D. SUPER rare, you would maybe see these only two or three times during the game

I just had a theory about the DLC. They're talking about how you're going to play as a female character. In Subnautica, one of the aurora survivors was someone named CTO Yu. She actually made it to the floating island rendezvous. Officer Keen and her, from Keen's last PDA., were lost at sea. What if the DLC picks up on that, and shows how they both or just Yu, washed up on the arctic island. I don't know, just a thought. It would make a bit of sense, but Yu wasn't really a major character in Subnautica.

I was thinking more of a penguin for the Pinnicarid when I first saw it (mainly because it looks like if has a beak of one, it has a long slim body that reminds of a penguin, and it even has the kind of markings an Emperor penguin has, with the fading yellow to red on the side of the body), but it does almost look like an alien mix between a penguin and a seal.

I really like A because it's color scheme and design kinda makes it look like an emporor penguin swimming through the Antarctica sea.

I kinda wish they would add the grab/crabsquid, I would really love to see it, who knows maybe they will.

what would be cool is if you unlock the artic dlc either from buying it or from beating the full game in itself but your ship gets hit by this "sky base creature" which drags you back down to the artic landscape where you fine a lifepod that went astray in the artic dlc you have to kill this Sky creature buy feeding it a carar infected fish once you kill the one only sky creature you have to build a rocket again with nothing in your way but this time materials are harder to get being more scarce and having it be guarded by dangerous creatures

I'm still not buying this DLC, they should not have fired the main sound designer
