Some of you may remember the very high quality taps and dies, and support tooling from BUTTERFIELD , CANADA.
Muito bom, parabéns 👏👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷
Super Arbeit

I know thats complaining at a high level but please remember to chamfer holes before reaming.

No need tool bar please bucket in to radial drillin and make allingmet very easy gob and make drill
Ответить@CuttingEdgeEngineering : I know this is an old video, but I'm finally in the market for a portable line boring machine. Before I go out and buy the WS2, is there another one you would get if you had it to do all over again?
Some background if it helps... Around my neck of the woods (world), a guy pays out the ass for this type of work. Earlier this year ('23) I purchased a Takeuchi TB290 Excavator that had 4K hours on it, and I've put another couple K on it. It's getting to be time to take out the slop in that bitch, and I want to do the work myself. For the price of the machine and doing our own work (with my son by my side is a bonus as well), it's gonna be less money than just paying somebody else to do it cause I'm gonna do every pin-hole on the machine. And once I have the line boring tool, I'll also feel better about buying used (meaning sloppy) equipment in the future.
Sorry for the dissertation but I'm really hoping you'll answer my real question about if you would stick with the WS2 if you did it all over again. Thanks in advance.
Nice finish Kurtis👍🇦🇺
Demolisher dog🤪🤪
Very nice, as always. Cheers
Ответитьyou cut a lot of rusty parts, whats the best way to clean up all that rust off? I just did a batch of parts which a ton of surface rusting and my vise and mill table goth filthy. I wiped it best I could with acetone but its still in the casted areas as well as in the tslots of my mill. Theres always evaporust but ive had issues with that leaving a texture when applied with with paper towels
What is the address to send you something?
Oof that reamer did the job! 😂
Can i be your assistant
LOVE THIS MANS WORK ! Consummate pro ! Having been to Australia several times myself you just have to love its people feel like we are nation cousins God bless Curtis and family .
Hmm, Guehring, i worked for them.
I understand, you need to get things done, but that was painful to watch
It's coming down, down under.
Some engraving would be a nice touch. Although not necessary, company, model and serial number. Because you never know.
Ooh rain on a tin roof and the sound of a sharp file on freshly milled steel. God’s ASMR.
James is a weirdo. Who buys another man a tool.
Employing a chain master link for a hinge is sublime.
Kurtis, you are obviously a smart and talented guy and love your work, but can't wait for your out takes at the end of the video. Hilarious! You can blame it on your wife/videographer.
Love your channel you are a very precise machinist better than alot that I've seen keep up the good work by the way love your doggy.
How did you and Karen meet?
was she a drift-groupie & hangaround at one of these drift street races you attended in Australia?
Fast & the furious, love story, just in Australia..
What happened on those 2 or 3 passes where the face got scratched after the bit got to the centre? They got cleared by the next pass, so hopefully it was just the swarf and not the cutter.
I just love everything about this channel.
It looked very nice, I only didn't get why so much material was wasted, could make two pieces from it...
A great vid. When you make theses tools I never see any drawings, I have been lambasted the past from going down the "measure / fit from job" school of things, I was wondering have thought about investing in an ACME put-er on machine? you load all that swarf into a hopper and switch on, in a short while you can use waisted material to make whole new things. think of it like a lathe that works in reverse. keep up these great and inspiring machining videos!
Uncle Herman would be proud
Broach, a missed opportunity to call something a "squarenator", imo
Yep. Pretty boring stuff. I'm a recent fan, just now going back and watching the earlier videos. This one is my favorite so far!😁
A well thought out design.
I love watching your videos over again. Also the fact you don't script them, genius.
Oh,no! Sponge Bob's house!
Ahh. So nice and relaxing. Love the show.
It's been years since I've used a vertical mill, but I seem to recall that my Starrett edge finder worked the opposite of the way yours does. I started it off the part running true and then brought it in slowly until it kicked out.
Imagine if Curtiss and Alan Millyard teamed-up and were given the budget of nasa INSTEAD OF NASA? World energy crisis solved? Engineering would certainly evolve 1000 fold overnight!
Hi Curtis, I have enjoyed your videos for some time now. I am curious why do you use coolant for some tasks and what appears to be oil for others? Thanks, Martin
