Ответить"But even gaming is not interesting anymore" ... ah ... you found out ... earlier then I did 🙂
ОтветитьHi Jon - you actually can use PG-8X with Logic Pro X 10.5/Catalina if you have NI Komplete Kontrol as it can load VST plug-ins. The only additional step I had to take was to create the PG-8X.ini file separately (I used the Mac Desktop version of PG-8X to generate) then copy it to the VST folder where the VST is. This way, one can set the default preset path and even load a default bank. Works perfectly! There may be other VST-to-AU wrappers which work as well I'm not sure.
ОтветитьHow did you get super synth and pg8x on your mac ?? Aren't their supposed to works on Windows only ? Please answer , i wanna synthwaaaaave !! x)
ОтветитьHELM is another great freebie, as are the many free MiniMoog emulators, the free ARP 2600 emulators, the free ARP Odyssey emulators, the free Sonigen Modular and XSRDO Modular (both much better than the VCV rack, IMHO). And TAL also has a free modular synth - not quite as versatile as the Sonigen or XSRDO, but still free nonetheless.
ОтветитьI love the Tyrell synth.
ОтветитьPG-8X is a JX-8P emulation. It doesn't sound eactly like the original but it's pretty close. Plus it's able to read
JX-8P SysEx data. You can find a bunch of sound banks online which turn this synth into an awesome instrument.
Great video. By the way, I was unable to install Super-7 in my Mac, which uses Catalina. What's the process?
ОтветитьI've used PG-8X for a little bit of Italo Disco. It's so fun to play around with. It has a sort of Jupiter 8 feel to it and is amazing for chords, bass lines and anything else you put your mind to. TyrellN6 is my go to synth for pretty much anything other than FM.
ОтветитьAlchemy which you get with logic is brilliant and very overlooked, it's not "Free" technically but it does come with Logic X
ОтветитьSURGE SYNTH I have it and its super powerful!!!
ОтветитьHelm is another great free synth
ОтветитьQuestion, how do I download these if I have no more space on my MacBook Air :(
ОтветитьI once cut, who is now my wife's hair.
I will never live it after 25 years....
i am the only one who thinks surge synth can be compared to serum?... i mean woow is super powerfull
ОтветитьThat Spitfire stuff is awesome. I use Keyscape for my keys but great reccomendations!!
ОтветитьYou missed Helm & Dexed ^^
ОтветитьDexed (VST & AU) is worth mentioning. It can use thousands of sounds from the Yamaha DX7 library.
ОтветитьTAL Bassline is 32 bit only so you can't run in 10.4 or mojave or above I think. Scratch that one unless you want to use another plug in to make 32 bit plug ins work.
ОтветитьJust wondering, you mentioned a "bunch of GBs" for your latest Sample Pack, but I "only" got 265MB extracted? Is it a wrong archive I got or did you relate the bunch of GB because you also get the access to the other 2 sample packs for free? But even though it's not a "bunch of GBs", since Elements 2 is around 980MB, Elememts 3 around 12MB and Elements 4 as mentioned around 265MB.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to complain, I'm just a bit confused as I have expected much more "data volume" from your description in your video ;) Doesn't mean that the content itself isn't worth it :)
PG8X AU is discontinued and not available for Catalina but 10.13 can use it
ОтветитьHey Jon👋 I wanna ask,do labels also pay for music videos?
ОтветитьSpeaking of freebies, I really do recommend Synth1, really cool analog emulator. I don't know if it's available for Mac tho. Also it's a bit unstable but it sounds super cool.
ОтветитьYou know, you can use a wrapper plugin like MetapluginSynth to run VSTi's in Logic, or Pro Tools for that matter?
ОтветитьAll windows plugins not apple...
ОтветитьHi Jon, thank you for this amazing sample pack !!!
ОтветитьJon would like to see your entire work flow on remix from start to finish. We all have the time.hahahah.
ОтветитьThanks, I got your package, it sounds good. How to get the coupon code?
Ответитьyes HELM is imo definetely worth to be added to the list. agree on TAL and u-he, great stuff. cheers :)
ОтветитьI'm using PG8X and Tal-Noizemaker since the beginning of trying music out and they worked pretty great. Definetly recommanded. Tyrell N6 and Surge look pretty interesting, I would definetly look at those.
Ответитьu-he also has other great free synths: Zebralette, Podolski, Triple Cheese. If you buy a single issue of Computer Music, you can get a free synth and effects library that includes Bazille CM, Zebra CM, Dune CM and much more. If you have Kontakt, I recommend the free Hollowsun (RIP) instruments at hollowsun_dot_com. Also, check out OXBD64 and the Full Bucket free synths.
ОтветитьBought that pack yesterday homie, much love.
ОтветитьI really like addtractive for soft saws 👌👌
Ответитьyour hair looks great Jon!
ОтветитьLets help this Guy to reach 100 K subs Guys 🙏❤
Ответитьvst2 or vst 3 guys?
ОтветитьLABS is an amazing vst piano, the soft piano is great for every genre!
ОтветитьElements 3 are fxp files?
ОтветитьHey how long you guys take to answer back a email
ОтветитьWell done on the hair! I always cut it myself and get help for the back from my wife, but she tends to mess up often. So I know how you feel.
ОтветитьDanke Jon für deine Top 10 und dein Wissen. Sehr Hilfreich
ОтветитьThe channel is becoming a Software introduction channel...
should add "My" top 10 Free software synth imao
Genesis Pro seems to be an awesome synth which however costs 1 Euro
ОтветитьAnother very good and visual synth is Helm by Matt Tytel. I can recommend it ;)
Ответить+ Free DAW - Cakewalk!
ОтветитьWhich synth do you use/recommend for "oldschool progressive house" (underwater pluck / bass vibe) ?
Ответить
