Actually, they did a new We Are the World with 80 different artists to benefit earthquake victims in Haiti. There were some parts that some didn't like, but there were several spectacular singers involved, and they even included a new rap section with several legendary rappers. I'm not really a huge rap fan, but I still found it very inspiring! Barbra Streisand, Josh Grobin, Celine Dion, Tony Bennett, Janet Jackson, Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Hudson, Gladys Knight, Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias, Natalie Cole, the Jonas Brothers, Myley Cyrus, and Justin Beiber took part, among many others. They even included Wyclef Jean, a Haitian artist. They also released a Spanish language version by a group of Latino superstars like Gloria Estefan, Carlos Santana, Jose Feliciano, Ricky Martin, and David Archuleta! Both are worth checking out!

They let the master of ceremonies Quincy Jones run the show! They all knew that this wasn't about them. This was about helping the people in Africa. When you have Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, and Lionel Richie ask if you would like to be a part of something special, how in the heck do you say NO to that? Most of them didn't! How proud would anyone be to have been a part of that? Thank goodness we can continue to share this with later generations. People need to see that coming together for a united cause is POSSIBLE!
