Allure decided *these* were the best of 2024...

The stripped makeup whipped coconut makeup remover convinced me that the Allure awards are a scam. It is the worst product I've ever used. It burned my eyes so badly I had to recall poison control infographics to remember how to rinse it out, because I was in such excruciating sharp blinding pain. It looks like a "clean beauty" cleansing balm because it's in a jar, but contains a high concentration of surfactants that belong in shampoo or body wash, not on your eyes.

I do love the summer Friday lipgloss. I just bought like four and I am super picky with lipgloss. I bought one rhode and hate it

I actually caved and bought a Tangle Teezer recently, and it really is THAT good! I remember buying one of their old brushes circa 2012 and wasn't impressed. The handle and overall redesign make a huge difference. I think I love it more than the Wet Brush, which is saying a LOT.

For us with straight lashes, only a waterprooof mascara will hold the curl; the first ingredient must be some kind of wax (if it's water, run).

My favorite sponges are the ones from Temu. They have packs of 8 in shades of pink and brown for under $3 and they’re so good! I’ve had the beauty blender before and I’ll never go back. They blend so well and are really soft.

It’s an unpopular opinion but I do not like the summer friday lipbalms at all. It just shows how everyone reacts to products differently but they dry my lips out so much. When I went on vacation this was the only lipbalm I bought with me and my lips were so dry and cracked because of them. I had to go to the drugstore and pick up regular chapstick

Kelly, I USED TO BE a hard-core fan of the Tangle Teezer as my hair also tangles up quite easy until I tried FHI Heat the Unbrush, which (IMO) is 10x better and I am utterly baffled why they're not receiving this or any award. As a child, my mom's main issue was how she was going to style my tangled up hair for school each morning and now that I'm older, I found the Unbrush to be my holy grail and saving grace with brushing out my tangled up hair, even when it's dry. I still use the Tangle Teezer, but more styling my wavy/curly hair or whenever I want to achieve a good slick back.

I’ve purchased a few merit eyeshadow pots and they’ve dried out about halfway through use. I always keep the top tightly closed and close immediately once I get the product on. This , unfortunately, has happened with three of their colors. It’s a shame as I love the colors and how long they last on the eye, but I won’t be purchasing again.

100% agree about that brush! It is the only one I can use to detangle my hair, wet or dry, without having to add some kind of detangling products first.

i have the older tangle teezer brush without the handle and it's crazy how good that brush is. my hair is tricky to handle and i've never had a problem with that brush

I bought a tangle teaser hair brush almost 13 years ago with my first paycheck.

I've tried two tangle teaser brushes- one for wavy/curly hair, and one for fine/fragile hair. I have fine, wavy hair, and I can say that although they both give good results, the fine hair brush is way gentler on my head than the wavy one! I'd rather use the fine one in the shower and the wavy one to style with.
