lian li galahad ii trinity performance makes extreme loud pump noise after a few month of use! as in VERY VERY LOUD!!!
ОтветитьThe screws are a security screw and they sell the drivers to remove them or at least they use to. The places I've seen them used the most are / were in public bathroom stalls.
ОтветитьThe radiator looks like it has a refill spot. You guys didn't explore it.
ОтветитьFYI... I just had my Lian Li AIO pump fail due to the "2nd sodering" Issue as reported on their website. I ordered my warranty replacement less than a week ago, and received it today. I wanted to open up the defective one just to see how bad it was clogged up. Regarding the one way screws installed on these, I found that they were not hard to remove simply by using a small headed screw driver, and wedging that on one side or the other, and slightly tapping the end of the screwdriver to wedge it free and just keep tapping it all the way around until it's out. Small screw, probably only about 4 turns and it's out. So try tapping them out, pretty easy. Cheers !
ОтветитьHi can make a video about the failure of these units? As it's an known issue
ОтветитьMy Lian Li Galahad "SN:2021xxxxxxxxx" just died a death from a thousand noises inside it. I don't know what I thought when I entered this fragging AIO bandwagon...
since it failed yesterday and LianLi halted all the RMAs until 26/06/2023 because "holy days", I've decided it will be replaced by a Noctua NH-D15 once and for all.
after RMA, I think I will try to sell the AIO to another.
There is rumors that Apaltek Galahad's are again malfunctioning. How true is this?
ОтветитьHope they reconsider using these anti tamper screws for their upcoming AIO. You should be able to service your own cooler.
Ответитьi am not sure whats the name and calls it the f u bit 😂. a piece of not metal placed inside together with the heatsink is that what all aio pump have ?
ОтветитьHow disappointing finding out about those screws. I was about to buy this but now I changed my mind.
Ответитьi wouldnt be surprised if those fins did jack shit. theyre so small i dont see a lot of liquid actually flowing between them.
ОтветитьWatched this to see if I could possibly repair mine. I just wanted to flush and fill. It has worked well for a year. All of a sudden my machine would be off when I went to use it. Looked through everything assuming it was software at first and then watched the temps at idle reach 110 on the 5950x.
I would move the tubes and the temp would reduce. Opened the drain port on it and a bunch of gunk came out. Lianli took a shit in my cooler before sending it out. I've requested an RMA because it looks impossible to do something as easy as flush out and fill. I'll never buy from them again, ever. Brand is worthless to me at this point.
Those are tamper poof screws.
ОтветитьEk looks nice and basic.
ОтветитьI got both the 360 (which was too big) and the 240. Both had logo plate upside down on radiator. Did anyone else have this problem?
ОтветитьThe fact of using the "FU" screws alone makes me to avoid this AIO. I like to be able to disassemble things I own.
ОтветитьSomeone know how to open it for refill this?
Ответитьhey Steve, i've been watching a lot of your reviews on cases and fans. I've decided to go with the lian li o11 evo but i can't decide on the fans. my currently set up is very loud with poor air flow (gpu running @ 95c & CPU @ 85c) could you tell me what fan and aio i should buy for a more silent pc (lian li evo case, therefore some sort of rgb would be beneficial to keep up with the looks ) the only rgb fans i can compare to are corsairs and they are loud ... thank you in advance man. great work
ОтветитьI just cut open my 20 month old Galahad after it had completely lost the ability to cool my CPU (hitting 100c on the desktop), and was greeted by RED fluid, full of crap and lumps of who-knows-what. It's absolutely disgusting. It's really disappointing to see this from a company like Lian Li, though I guess most of the fault is with the manufacturer, Apaltek.
If your cooler sounds off or is getting warmer over time RMA it immediately (then go buy an air cooler).
Does anyone know the thread size and hose fitting size for this?
Ответитьit is very hard to refill this thing, i tried but failed and lost the cooler
ОтветитьWhat size flex tubes and fittings are used on this cooler? Like if you wanted to add a larger liquid reservoir and a GPU water block what size fittings and tubing type would you need to consider? Is there an easy way to determine which tube is the inlet (from the radiator) and which is the outlet?
ОтветитьEK looks like it has the best impeller. Very similar to a Grundfos pump impeller
ОтветитьDo you have a video on how to refill and reassemble an aio?
Ответить@gamersnexus have you done a review of the MSI AIO's? I can't find a video if you have. Like to see what you think of that design with the pump in the radiator
Ответитьwhat are all those metal shavings inside the pump from??? I just bought one of these for a new build and I don’t want something to short circuit.
ОтветитьJust ordered one before.vid. great one Steve😊
ОтветитьCan you please review Corsair H150i Elite Capillex and H115i Elite Capillex
ОтветитьThat pump impeller looks well made. I like the ceramic bushing and shaft, should last a long time as long as the electronics hold up and it doesn't corrode for some reason.
ОтветитьYour reaction to the screws is classic love the video seems as I just bought this can’t wait to use it and say bye to my kraken 240 lol
ОтветитьMan I don't know why you didn't use an EASY OUT for the stripped screw!! Go purchase some there cheap and if you want super strong ones they have some called Super Outs.
I used my Dremel tool and cut a slot so I could use a flathead screwdriver and take out those one way screws. This was on a computer case not a liquid cooler.
"We have never seen this type of bit" You probably have and not realized it, they are pretty common they have multiple names but Its a One way tamper screw. Normally you see them on stuff in public area's like restroom doors. There not really designed to be removed at all, but a spanner bit or snake eye bit sometimes works.
ОтветитьPlease do teardown ID-Colling aio
ОтветитьIs it good quality??
I dont have experience
Shouldn't it have 47 LEDs? Or are they counting the fans?
ОтветитьI will no longer trust this guy from now when it comes to mechanical design.
ОтветитьDid an answer ever surface regarding the size of the coils in the EK AIO pump vs others?
My first estimate is larger equated to greater force at lower rpm for the pump? so potentially a quieter pump.
have you guys ever thought of making a standarized test using the factory AIO pump and radiator but instead use Noctuas PPC fans as a standard, i think it would would show some more unique and interesting data
Ответитьbest 120mm aio?
ОтветитьWhat kind of liquid is used in the AIO cooler? Will it FU my PC if it leaks?
ОтветитьSo which should I buy for a 5900x? The Ek 360 or the Galahad 360?
ОтветитьI regret that I started to learn the differences (and lack thereof) between AIOs AFTER buying a thermaltake 360.
ОтветитьThe one thing that makes me want to get EK over Freezer is the warranty. 2 years for a new product with no extensive durability is a risk im not sure I want to take. Thoughts Gamers Nexus?
Ответитьi think the bigger gap on one side of the coldplate and the gasket thing is just alignment during assembly
Ответитьyay I can take off the aluminium Lian Li thing. cuz I'm thinking of making it as white as possible :p
Ответитьneed a vise and drill press for that coldplate
Ответитьis the ek or lian li better?
Ответитьhey my cheap bit set has those never seen one before
Ответить
