Glad there are some cultured souls out there who understand that Sayori is the ultimate victim of all the shit that went down in Redux.

I feel like this mod does a great job of iterating on the characters from EM:R, warts and all, and toes a great line of kind of embracing a widely held community stance that MC and Nats in EM:R arent great people and basically screw everything up themselves, without necessarily casting that as an objective moral judgement by the author but by putting it through the eyes of the person it hurt most: Sayori.

Great storytelling, on a meta-level and on an in-story level.

I'm glad Sayori got closure in this story

Ok at this point I don’t like Sayori, all she could think about how what happened hurt her, but she doesn’t realize the pain that MC and Nat felt? And I’m someone who thinks Sayori is second best girl.

Too be honest, after MC's suicide i would've thought that things will go downhill for everyone, as they happen in the main game: Sayori would rope herself, Yuri will cut herself to death and Monika since is all alone would delete her characher file as the had nothing left to do.

Also my second scenario was that in the main mod, after MC jumped, Monika will jump with him to save him where 1-They both die or 2-Monika dies saving MC or 3-They both live and MC gets help for his depression like Sayori did.

To be honest i didn't expect this at all.

That was a pretty satisfying end to the mod that had some of the most selfish or idiotic characters. Not perfect, but certainly a massive step up and amazing ending.

I always believed Sayori would’ve followed MC right after his suicide, but seeing this mod clearly proves that wrong.

It’s interesting how we see more of the struggle Sayori went through after Natsuki’s suicide, and how she felt rage at MC’s apathy to try and start living again, it makes sense honestly, she devoted A YEAR of her life to help him, yet nothing changed, so I can really understand the frustration and why she believed that he didn’t care about her. Still though, despite all that, I’m glad that Sayori & Monika push onward to try and live their life, it’s admirable just how iron-willed & brave Sayori is to keep going despite losing damn near everything.

Something else I wanted to talk about… Sayori & Monika discussed how, looking back, they believe that MC & Natsuki weren’t good people, but like, I can definitely understand why they think that, but I honestly disagree.
Sayori thinks MC isn’t a good person because of how she felt that MC didn’t care for her or didn’t try healing from Nat’s suicide for her.
I believe MC did care for Sayori, but I suppose not to the extent that she had wished for? In the main mod, he helped her & stopped her from committing suicide and was worried sick about her ever since that attempt, but that worry & concern of his got drowned out by all these new predicaments revolving around Natsuki, and so he didn’t really have the time or mental capacity to focus on both issues simultaneously, and maybe Sayori was a bit resentful towards him, because he directed his focus onto Natsuki instead of her, and while yes, he did love Natsuki more than Sayori, which would explain why he did that & also why Sayori would feel upset, but it was also because Natsuki’s issue was a more impending & immediate threat, so he was forced to prioritise.
I don’t believe he was a bad person here, or that he didn’t care about Sayori, he was just being pressured by the circumstances of the whole ordeal, but he truly did care for Sayori.

As for after Nat’s suicide, MC lost all will to push forward because he felt guilty for Nat’s death and felt he didn’t deserve to move on from something he believes he caused. This led to him being that miserable sad-sac we see.
The combination of an irredeemable depression (MC) with a loyalty & love devoted person (Sayori), led to the impasse we see in this side-mod. Sayori spent a year of her life helping him and she was getting mad at him for not appreciating or accepting & healing from her help, I don’t think Sayori truly understood how much guilt MC truly felt. From the start, MC knew he was already dead, and that’s why he kept constantly telling Sayori to stop helping him and to go live her own life, she refused to do this because she loved him and felt as though she owed him this effort, because of how MC stopped her from committing suicide. Since Sayori wasn’t aware that this was a futile endeavour, she was getting frustrated that after months of dedication & work there was zero sign of improvement in MC condition, this frustration got translated and pushed onto MC because of both, unresolved frustration, and because she truly believed he could have been helped with enough effort, and she was angry that nothing changed. MC tried to tell her to move on because he’s already dead, but she didn’t listen & just couldn’t understand/accept that he wouldn’t recover, especially considering the huge debt she felt she owed to him.

So yeah, MC didn’t not heal or move on because he didn’t like or appreciate Sayori’s help, it was just that no matter what happened, he’d never heal, that’s just the way it was.

So that’s why I don’t think MC was a bad person, he was just hurt to an extent that Sayori couldn’t understand or accept.






Now, about how MC, Sayori & Monika said Natsuki wasn’t a good person.
A similar concept applies here too, Natsuki’s trauma & stress from both their current situation & her experiences with her father, led to her being constantly doubtful & full of fear. That fear got translated into anger which forced itself onto the only thing it could, which was MC, considering a lot of MC’s (pure-hearted) actions caused the situation to gradually get worse.
And so yeah, Natsuki found that MC was the only person to blame, and so the pressure of all the fear she felt caused her to treat MC unfairly.
I understand why that made the others think she was a bad person, but they don’t understand that her trauma, stress & fear was the cause of her actions, all of it warped her mind & her judgement which led to her being an ass & to her eventual suicide.

So yeah, I don’t think she was a bad person either, just severely struggling from stress & trauma the same way MC was.

Why does MC look like he just came from straight out of California.

I just started the video and off rip its inaccurate to Redux and that bothers me.. the couches weren't still there, they were taken out of the house when Natsuki was still around. IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY!!! I haven't seen it in a while, and honestly need to revist it. if I'm wrong, please let me know

I can't say how much I love this video you made I'm still almost crying after I watched you do voice over for exit music it made me cry my eyes out twice exit music is the sadness mod in my eyes but in this mod I hope sayori does well after leaving her past life behind her
