ОтветитьI had a stroke in 2019; so I have Spasticity in my left foot; AFO braces will help?
ОтветитьIs there a way of telling if I had a stroke while i was young? I have trouble picking up my right foot/toes and I'm prone to ankle sprains as well. I'm 36 now but I've had these problems since at least age 12. Now I have lots of numbness and my glutes barely contract on the right side too.
ОтветитьThese are great videos. So helpful. Thank you!!
ОтветитьI’m having my husband who is 6 months post stroke do these. Thank you!

ОтветитьI am Christie. 30 years I have a stroke --- right-sided paralysis + aphasia. Some unavoidable reasons I had... Now I am free to do my stroke. Is it too late? I am 65 yrs. old.
ОтветитьUsually strokes bring on white matter disease that cause the same problems, not sure if this will help that or not.

ОтветитьGreat info! Definitely addresses my issues!
ОтветитьI never had any heart issues, played squash for 20 years and went to Gym. But I coue not walk on my right toe almost 20 years or more. Left is Ok. Had both knees replaced, had back surgery. But why I could not do this before the surgery and even after surgery. Neurologist says frozen hamstring ?? Is there any thing at 70 for me , I have balancing problem and use stick to walk and seeing an Osteopath. Any offers i am in Montreal Canada. Lots of pain in my right calf and buttocks.
Ответитьwhat about fixing pronation?
ОтветитьMy problem is that my left side foot pulls to the inside
ОтветитьI have had mild ligamentous laxity my whole life. I am sure it triggered my supination after the stroke. If I press on one spot on the top of my foot, everything just instantaneously snaps into place. So, there can be different causes for these maladies. So far, I am finding out that orthopedists are not good diagnostitions for stroke problems (tendon transplant is their mantra), most PTs do not have your knowledge, and AFO's are painful and not curatively corrective in my case. Lead the charge for better care for those who fit outside the box.
Ответитьyes I've been subscribed for a while, my afo is hinged and I have a light carbon composite that is supposed to assist my ankle in springingup
ОтветитьI truely hope you tube has seen fit to monetize your channel, you are definitely are apositive.

ОтветитьHi Doctor, got your advice for food inverting after Stroke. Rrt. Food
ОтветитьCan you please put a link for the Eskimo in the flyer for the shoe? Thank you.
ОтветитьYou described my symptoms exactly. Ankle rolls ,I step and lose balance. The issue you didn't cover was how to strengthen a weak ankle. I'm going to search some of your other videos. I haven't fallen in about three years but I've come close and its always the ankle supination. Thanks for your videos they are far and away the best on you tube. I don't wear my brace because I don't want my ankle to get weaker as I depend on the brace more and more. My toes curl a lot too. Some days less than others and I've found I can "walk that off" usually.
ОтветитьHi had a stroke. And I was wondering how to get the stinging to stop
ОтветитьMy husband had a left brain stroke 3weeks ago. This has been the best rehab you tube video I've found. He still has another week in rehab and I want to be ready for him when he comes home. Thank you!
Ответить😊👍
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьOld video so I don't know of anyone will see the comment by now but thanks for this detail and my question is about at all that rolls over and makes me fall forward. I have the spastic ankle and foot as you described but this issue seems to be from a very weak big toe that does flops over forward and makes me trip lose my balance. In a shoe it does not do that much at all but at home I have to walk barefoot even a few minutes a day and that's when it happens. Sorry for the long,
ОтветитьI had an ischemic stroke when I was 38 years old and I was bedridden for months now I'm proud to say that I can walk without an assistive device outside, I drive, I go to the mailbox... no it doesn't look "normal" but I couldn't even sit up in the beginning! I had to learn EVERYTHING
all over again and your videos helped me so much!!! It will be 2 years on Valentine's Day and I live by myself now and I can make my own food and everything now I don't have a Mobility Scooter or a walker anymore! I used to have assistance to transfer to a wheelchair and have somebody stay here with me all the time for meals etc... I came so far because of you!! Watching your videos made me never give up! I never settled for what happened to me...I'm still tryin to improve every single day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Seriously.
Y0ur v channel has help me regain my balance. Thank you. My dog watches over me alot. She does what is called leading. She leads me and frce me to walk. She helps me with balance.

ОтветитьHi Tara thanks so much for all the info I very much appreciate it! I had my first stroke when I was 26 and I was left hemiplegic but I could walk ( with a limp) and I was able to talk normally. When I was 47 I had a second stroke but I could still walk (with a limp) and talk (normally). In May 2020 I had a third stroke and it affected my gait and my speech. I am 59 now and wheelchair bound. I know I will walk again but I need to find a way to bare weight on my left side. I stand up for 30 minutes every morning and then I do exercise for about 2 hours with some resistance bands. Should I be taking off my AFO?

ОтветитьI wear my AFO when I wake up and walk around in the house, it’s articulated, but I don’t feel much of a stretch when I stand on the wedge.
ОтветитьI am not a stroke victim, but I have TBI from multiple car accidents and falling on my head as a child.
My toes curl in spasms at night sometimes and my feet want to bend down in half. Plus I walk on the outside of my feet. Is this what you are talking about?
